Bob is a very no-nonsense person to deal with. Very ethical and a straight shooter. He helped my parents after their traffic accident with their damaged car and very much had their interests in mind. I don't normally give reviews but this business and Bob deserve the five stars as a trustworthy business that will get the job done for you even if it does not benefit them.

Twice now I used B &D for needed body shop work after car accidents. This vendor does excellent body shop repair. He helped to intervene with the car ins for me relieving alot of stress involved in this process. I truly appreciated his professional expertise. He was right on from start to finish. Yes, I'd recommend B & D Automotive.

I needed a tow truck to get unstuck, called B&D and was answered to a very unpleasant man. I told him where I needed the tow and heard a loud sigh. Then he asked who the tow was for in a condescending way. I hung up and called "Smith brothers" who was extremely professional and sympathetic to the situation. If needing a tow please go to them!

I don't normally like to post bad reviews about places, although this has been bothering me. A few weeks ago, I had all three of my babies (5 year old, and 4 year old girls and a 4 month old boy) with me. My tire literally popped going down 30. My father couldn't get to me to help, and my boyfriend was out of town. So I called "B and D Automotive Service" in Whitley County. I literally said to him, "I only have 68$ to my name but my tire just went flat, can you help me?" with which he replied "I only charge 45$, I'll be there in 20" I was thankful that I, at the very least, had some money and even after the tire, would still have enough to buy formula for my son. He shows up and had forgotten a tool, so he informed me that he would charge 5$ more to run back and get the tool HE FORGOT. Ok, I can do 50$ and still get formula. When he got back HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO GET MY SPARE TIRE OUT, and he almost gave up and went to leave when I had enough sense to call my boyfriend and have him explain it since he'd done it once before. He finally got the tire out and put it on for me (after he left every door open and told me not to shut them despite it being 30° out and three kids including a infant inside) and then proceeded to say, "this was more difficult than it should have been and I had to make a trip back, so it's 65$ now" I agreed knowing I would have to ask for money for formula now. He ran my card and it wouldn't go because it was a prepaid, he said "there's a ATM down the road, I'll follow you", I said "it will only give 20's and will have a fee" I took my wallet out to put the card back in, he saw I had THREE DOLLARS and told me to give him those and go to the ATM, (Honestly I was a little shocked that he wouldn't just accept 60) we drove to the ATM I took the 60 out and I think it had a fee of 3.50 leaving me with a grand total of $4.50 for the whole week and no formula. Maybe he wasn't wrong, but honestly it felt like I was dealing with a snake.

I was calling for my daughter to get an estimate on how much Bob would charge to tow her car from Columbia City to Fort Wayne. He told me don't call him until i wanted a tow and hung up on me. I have never in my 52 yrs experienced a more obnoxious person. If he treats potential customers like this would never patronize him. May God have mercy on his soul.

After being jerked around by another company I called B & D. I was quoted a fair price, scheduled a pick up time, and received exactly the service I expected. I will use them for my local towing needs from now on. Good job!

We broke down traveling through Indiana. In less than an hour, Bob had towed us back to his shop, installed a new alternator, and had us back on the road. It was a Sunday and he could have charged exorbitant fees, but he didn't take advantage of us. Nice guy. Great service!

Thanks so much to bob at b&d for going to rescue my kids in Fort Wayne when their truck broke down. And it was even a Sunday night. He is someone you can always count on. I would recommend him to anyone.

I've had a squeal under the hood all winter and finally took it to B & D to fix it. We agreed on a couple of easy cheap repairs first and eventually had to go bigger. Bob always works to keep the expenses down and works to get the job done right. He is my car guy!

The owner was very nice he understood my circumstance and gave me a break,,, I thanked him very much for his hospitality,, so if your car gets towed in columbia city, hope that this is the man that does the towing, he will work with you..again thank you....
