Friendly and helpful staff, super quick and easy. Just drive up, (make sure to have pre-sorted based on material) dump based on material (plastic, etc), and drive off. Took maybe 2 min total time. Bossier City as a whole does a poor job at recycling and needs to make it easier/ incentivize recycling so good thing this recycling center exists. For Google map directions, keep driving past the trailers on right and when you see the yellow school bus junkyard on the right, it will be on the left side within the fenced gates. Make sure to pay attention to hours of operation since they do close early.

I understand things have changed post-covid.I understand a company is fortunate to keep employees post-covid.I understand costs have gone off the charts.I also understand in these times simple courtesy is always appreciated and can go a long way in all situations.AND I also know CITY employees are still PAID BY TAXPAYERS and the current “keeper” of the recycling center needs a big attitude adjustment — he’s been rude and demeaning every time we’ve gone there. He loves to yell at us about not correctly sorting our recycling materials and claims he will have to do if we don’t! Is that not your job? And why do you think it’s okay to speak to others this way? I’m sure we are not the only ones who are targets of his rantings. Pay attention City of Bossier. He’s giving you a black eye as an employee. Recyclers beware!

What's the point of having a recycling center if it's closed most of the time? Do they not think about people that have day jobs but still have recyclables. Obviously recycling is great but the way this center is managed is absurd. If you don't want people dropping off large items and trash maybe the city should look at setting up a trash dump for the public because obviously some of the lower income people out there will dump trash wherever they can because they don't have a private service. Obviously there are places you can pay but it's pretty obvious as well that there are people that can't or don't want to pay. As a taxpayer I'm all for having a public dumb so our community can stay clean.

The recycling center is closed most of the day. People have jobs, and can’t afford to make it before 2:30 p.m. to drop off recycling. It’s like they Don’t Want people to recycle. If they where open to 8 it would be better. The guys sit inside then entire day, if they actually went outside they wouldn’t have to deal with all the trash people dump.

I have been there many times and had no problem so far, but today the guy acted weirdly and said something everytime I dumped my trash, tried to teach me like I was 6.

Thank goodness Bossier City does have a recycling center. Just wish they could figure out a way to take glass in 3 colors (clear, brown, green). The fellas working there are nice & cordial.

This is a great and convenient place to drop off recyclables. I like the labeled bins so I know where things go. I wish there was a big sign posted about the Dos and Don'ts of what to recycle as I see a lot of items that people should not be throwing away. There are some days that trash is overflowing. I wish there were bigger bins at times as it looks like this facility needs an expansion.

New hours are very limiting and frustrating. Please extend hours and add weekends!

The people who work here are very nice. They keep it clean. I wish they took 5 plastics. Right now they accept cardboard, paper, 1 & 2 plastics, metal cans, aluminum cans, and 5 car tires per person.
