    Yard debris was moved by a neighbor so they could park on the street. They left but left the yard debris container on the curb rather than the street. The truck operator took the time to get off the truck and leave a note on the container saying they couldn't reach the container to collect it. Clearly he could have moved it 2 feet but I have trouble believing the truck couldn't reach the Yard debris container. I've seen the arm on those trucks reach between cars. I had a similar experience before with the garbage. With the service being every other week they seem to leave me paying for a service the decide to provide only when they feel like it and will go out of their way to not provide service. Seems like a poor customer service model. Sure wish I had an alternative. Calls to complain have not resolved the problem.

    ** Update May 2019**I boosted this to 5 stars because they now have added online pay and auto pay service.I have found the people in the office generally nice and helpful. And they're less expensive than other towns,I've heard. But there are issues I don't like. There is no option for automatic payments through your bank, nor any online payment process. Pretty outdated in this era. And it's hard to pay over the phone because they close at 5:00 on most days and at 4:00 on some. And often 10 or 15 minutes early! I've left messages on their answering machine but never once received a callback. So paying in a timely manner becomes a problem. They're usually a bit easy about late payments, but I don't know if that's because I've been a customer with a good record of payment. However, once they decide you are too late on your payment (and I have no clue how this is decided, because there is no info given out about their policy) they're completely inflexible. Once I got a shut off notice and paying the next day did no good; I was charged a fee for "changing service". I asked why and was told that it was because they had to change service and pick up the bins, etc. I pointed out that my bins weren't picked up so it wasn't an issue, plus they didn't have to physically shut off anything, unlike a gas or electrical service would. They didn't care and I paid the fee of course, because there's a monopoly going on here. Contracts for garbage service are awarded by the city or county and there IS no other provider available for us.**UPDATE JUNE 2019**Brandt's now has online bill pay plus an option for auto pay. Thank you Brandt's for doing this, I upgrade your stars.

    This is downright the worst company I have ever had to deal with. When I set up my utility services, they seemed annoyed at my mere presence. I figured it was because it was a Monday and 30 minutes from lunch, so I brushed it off. However, every time I've had to call them and ask questions since-- the exact same treatment.They don't even put a billing cycle on their bills, the bills show up at random times. I've received two bills thus far for four months of service. The bills were for completely random amounts, and the first bill didn't even itemize things. If you drive through neighborhoods after trash pickup day, you'll see seas of yellow tags on bins that they've decided they don't want to pick up. The amount of "infractions" they have is ridiculous.I am hoping that, one day, Republic comes into my side of town. That or I'm going to start personally driving my garbage to the dump. They are AWFUL and end up being overpriced due to all their billing mistakes and add ons.

    Last week tried to call and make a payment and the number was disconnected. Finally made the payment a week later. Always have constant issues with this service and hands down the most difficult to deal with of any utility company I have ever had. They don't offer automatic payments either which makes things tough especially when the number is randomly disconnected. On multiple occasions my trash was not picked up even though I am supposed to have my trash picked up on a weekly basis. Independence / monmouth needs a new trash provider.

    Inconvenient having to option to pay other than by check. Was charged a change of service fee when I moved, and told that I was still responsible for moving the cans to the new house myself. The cans ended up being full when I moved, and they refused to empty them until I moved them to the new address. About a month after I moved, they came and collected the cans from my new address by mistake. I called and was told they couldn't bring them back out for 3 days and there was nothing they/I could do about it.Terrible company to work with

    If I could give them 1/2 star I would. My garbage has been missed 3 times in the last 4 months. When I call, the office doesn't seem to care that it's been ongoing. They just say, we'll send him back out. No apologies for the constant inconvenience or when we don't catch it fast enough and they cant get back that day or for a few days. Just a flippant attitude from the office that somehow I'm inconveniencing them! We deal with left refuse because they don't want to do their job appropriately and they don't care. They are the only ones out here so they don't even try. If they give you hell, my advice is to give it back. They are out of control when it comes to customer service and need to be checked.

    I've been using their service for almost 5 years now. Never had an issue with pick up or billing. The people in the office were direct and to the point but not rude. Services: Yard debris removal, Junk removal

    My 7 year old accidentally put corn husks in the recycle bin and when the worker came by this morning... They rummaged through my ENTIRE bin, took pictures of it all, pulled the corn husks out, and left it. This is the 2nd week this month that I'm being charged an extra $5 each time to have them come back by to pick up my recycling... The first time is because I had the wrong type of plastic in there. If the worker had to get out, rummage through, remove the corn husks and take pictures he could have at least taken the rest!!! Ughhh.

    My trash was left behind (yes I paid my bill) I tried calling as soon as they opened, left voicemails, called again throughout the day with no luck. I sent them an email hopefully they do their job and respond.

    Have not picked up our garbage multiple times, they always seem to be on lunch every time I try to call them about it and the only time they did answer me the girl wouldn't let me change my plan.
