It's unfortunate. I can realize not being in Tulsa but miles under what any reputable recycler is paying copper #1 @ 2.47 others 3.33. #1 insulwire. 88 cents when others are 1.80. Clean brass yel. @ 1.00 others 2.22 I could see a little lower due to remote area. I do not believe it's worth that much money on the table. I had around 45 lbs of the above and got a mere 56 bucks..brass I had alone would have brought that anywhere else. Gotta get with the times folks. We don't have to use you. U could probably make a killing if u compared with others. I know that I for one won't leave half my money on the table.

If 8 or 10 people show up at the same time, it can get a bit difficult to navigate on or around the scales.

Took some aluminum cans there. 25 lbs, got $5. I know it’s not much but about 1/2 of what everyone else is paying. I used to scrap there quite a bit.

Well, the crippled guy behind the counter was a jerk, and in no way should anyone in a car, and a brain would want to risk driving their car through that mess where the scale is..but instead of getting some sort of clue that maybe I didn't wish to drive on the scale, the moron instead insisted that I drive through that scale, also adding the brilliant reminder that I was not supposed to walk back there along the office building to look for someone to talk to.I should also add that I was the only customer there, and 5 or 6 guys were standing around almost glad someone came by to give them something to do.I should also note they gave me $4 for 16lbs of clean aluminum ..the last time I scraped anything for money when I was a kid, however I know that the Borg in Tulsa gives 0.55¢ a pound ..so I don't know if I got ripped off, or their rates suck, oh well, I wasn't going to argue after already risking a flat when driving over all the junk on, and around their scale.Anyways they have big trucks come in loaded with thousands of pounds, and they could care less about some small guy, but oh well ..this post is for the sake of my fellow small guys.

We used to go here all the time, seems like if all you are doing is scrap then that is fine but we brought cans and copper too today and I don't know who the guy is that was talking to us or what his problem was with doing his job but he was a complete jerk. He told us that he didn't think we could sell our cans because they were in 55 gallon drums and after he was done weighing the copper he kicked our 5 gallon bucket off of the scale and broke it. Really wish Sims/Advanced was still in Sapulpa, but next time we will be making the drive to Tulsa. Where at least the staff is friendly and helpful. My husband is disabled and even though he doesn't look like it, they made him put the loaded barrels onto the cart because they weren't in bags. Yes 3 years ago when other guys worked for cates it was a reasonable experience but I promise we are not going back after the way we were disrespected today. What makes it even worse is the old man is very respectful, he obviously needs new staff. We used to go there so much before I had a decent paying job that he actually knew when we hadn't been there in a while.
