    Didn't realize they had a place to pick up used chemicals, hazardous waste products (partially used paint, oil, antifreeze, cleaning products etc.) for free! That's awesome!

    The office woman was horribly rude to my mother. She yelled over the intercom to 'Hurry Up!! WE ARE CLOSING!!' Well she gave us the wrong directions in where to dump and we assumed she was accurate so we went against the signs. So yes we took up more time than needed because of her mistake, neither parties were happy about it but no need to have a raunchy attitude, slamming things and yelling at customers.

    If a person has never been there before, the landfills entering procedure could be quite confusing and even a little overwhelming! They should have their entrance procedure clearly and accurately posted just as you turn in. Once you're in, they are very organized, every bin or area is clearly labeled informing what items go where.

    I recently visited the North Iowa landfill with my daughter. We were looking to recycle some paint. I am always impressed with the positive attitudes we encounter when we visit. EVERYONE, from the receptionist to the workers, seem to enjoy their jobs and the place looks well organized and kept up. Kudos to all who work there.

    The online scheduling for hazardous waste drop off is fantastic! And the people were very helpful when we arrived to drop off the waste. Definitely recommend.
