Took two hours to get to my location to unlock my car door. That’s all I needed was my car door unlocked. Said they would be there in 30 minutes. It was 2am and the shop was located 10 minutes away from my location. Even if they were doing something this town is not that big I called 4 different times in a 2hr span, to get told a different story about where the driver was each time I called. If they were on another call that’s all they had to say. But they weren't bc I asked them if they were on another call and if that’s what was taking so long for them to get to me, and they said no he was on the way. No reason he shouldn’t have been there especially when it was to simply get my door unlocked- no towing, no truck needed, just the tools to open door. We figured out after my 4th phone call he was somehow given the wrong address, even after I told them multiple times what the address was. No one apologized, they just said he’d be there in 3 minutes- except 15 minutes later he arrived!! The service man that arrived 2hrs after the promised time, was beyond rude. Again. The location I was at was 10 minutes away from the shop. They were not on another call. Then why did it take 2 hrs? And if he was given the wrong address, why did nobody catch that after the 1/2/3 time I called? And why did they give me a wait and promise time they couldn’t keep? Knowing I was alone at 2/3am at night as a female, with no access to my car? And then be rude to me when he gets there to unlock the car? It was absolutely insane. Maybe if they apologized or had been nicer during a stressful situation, I would be more understanding. But that was too much.

Made an appointment for an oil change. I had an appoinment within 2 hours of dropping the vehicle off so i chose to wait. They got it in, serviced the vehicle, and had me out in time for my next appointment. Crew there was top notch.

Car broke down in Owensboro while there on business. Tow driver came to my location due to Triple A, I told him it was the battery, and asked for a jump. He “tested” the battery and said it was not the battery, thought it was the starter so he wanted to tow the car to the garage. Had to get a hotel room. Next morning call the shop, they say it is the battery and they can install a new battery for $230 and it would take an hour. Called 2 hours later they say their computers were down but miraculously just came back online right when I called. They can fix the battery now, but it’s their lunchtime. According to Anthony I’ll have the battery in by 1:00. Call back at 1:15 sorry the guys had to take a late lunch, should be back by 2:00. I said I just talked to Anthony and he was leaving for lunch at 11:45? It takes all of about 5 minutes to change a battery, so I got a Lyft to the shop had them jump the battery and went and bought a new one and did it myself. I do not recommend these clowns to anyone, I have filed a complaint with Triple A and hopefully they won’t be a Triple A recommendation in Owensboro any longer. If I could give this shop 0 or negative stars I would. Also their $230 battery only cost me $54 at Walmart. It all boils down to this being a shop that takes advantage of people from out of town. Thanks to them I missed a day of work, was out $130 for a hotel room and more. Incompetent lazy mechanics and tow drivers.Services: Battery, Battery service, Car towing

When my Jeep wouldn't start, McCarty's showed up quickly. The gentleman who loaded my baby up to tow her to the shop was very nice and very careful. They were able to fix the battery and get her back to me within the day. The price was very reasonable. On another recent visit, they towed my Jeep again for me and took good care of it. Despite a transmission issue and an issue with a speed sensor, it was back to me within 48 hours. They came out and picked me up, took me back to the shop for a quick check-out, and gave me my keys. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they'd even washed my windows and windshield! 😊

Had fuel pump replaced in my Pontiac Montana, was repaired quickly and priced very reasonably. The van has been running fine ever since. I’ve taken my vehicles to McCarty’s for several years and they have always been great to work with and have done excellent work! Service: Engine repair

I love the staff and service that is provided with McCartys. Everytime I call I am greeted by a friendly staff member who is happy to help. They are very quick about finding the problem that is wrong with your car and letting you know they're also very good about letting you know the options that you have and what they're able to do for you. McCarty's unlike a lot of other places do not try to take advantage of you they have always been very upfront and honest with me about my vehicle and I appreciate that very much.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We contacted McCarty's to tow our 2014 Ford Escape from Henderson, Ky. back to Nashville and were quoted a price by the office manager of $342.00. When the driver arrived at the destination he (along with the owner) demanded a payment of $665.00 or threatened to take the vehicle back to Owensboro claiming that Stacey (office manager) was off and could not be reached to verify her quoted price. Both the owner and driver were EXTREMELY UNPROFFESSIONAL and we recommend pushing your vehicle before using this CRIMINAL OUTFIT!!
