Not a very good one I went to sell them a car and they wanted me to wait around until another guy got there to give me less than scrap price for my vehicle. And he was very rude and unbecoming,I took it to freedom metals and made $52.00 more.

I was referred to them to get a better price in getting a better price in a transmission repair; as I needed a new transmission at 47,000 miles on my Jeep Patriot. After they were able to locate me a transmission that only had 3,000 miles on it I agreed that they would be suitable for my vehicle. At first they had ordered the wrong transmission and had to quickly order the correct one from the location they were acquiring it from. Within just a few weeks I found while driving my vehicle was pulling to the left and right real hard; making it very unsafe to drive. I arrived at my location and had to take the Jeep in for an inspection where the mechanic found that near the wheel bearings (which is part of the area you have to take out when you drop a transmission) were not securely secured when put back in. At that time I called Nichols to discuss the problem and they were not to customer service friendly with trying to listen to me or help me resolve the problem. At the time I took pictures of the problem as well as finding that the transmission had been welded; and at 3,000 miles it should have never been welded. When I returned to Elizabethtown and visited Nichols to share my concern with the work they had done and the pictures as proof the person in the office basically cut me off and did not want to hear me out and only stated that their mechanics would have not made any errors nor done any welding of the transmission. To get me out the door they handed me $40 dollars of the repair ($82) I had to fix the loose area around the ball joints - wheel bearings to be able to drive safely. Fast forward and I had been noticing the transmission was not running as smoothly as it should. Several times taking it in to dealership as with Jeep and my year only a dealership can put it on a diagnostic machine to indicate any issues with the vehicle. Each time they were not able to determine the issue with the vehicle; nor could AAMCO on their diagnostics when I took it to them. I had to break down and pay AAMCO $900 to drop the transmission and fully look at the transmission inside/outside to get to the root of the problem as it was very clear that the transmission was not operating smoothly. Upon inspection it was apparent of the welding done on a transmission of 3,000 miles, several bolts were missing, and two areas where bolts were placed in were stripped out. These are issues that would be done on installation of a transmission. When I contacted Nichols regarding this matter they continued to give me the run around; just the same as when I went to their location in person to speak to them. The owner was to contact me in regards to getting the vin # off the vehicle that the transmission of the vehicle they got it from and gave me excuses to he would have to research for that information. After I left Nichols I immediately called the Salvage yard in which they obtained the transmission from and had the vin # from the exact receipt that Nichol's had been in possession of. Almost a week later I had contacted Nichol's to follow up with the email I sent in regards to the situation with attached pictures I had from the few weeks after them installing the transmission to the pictures of the stripped bolt holes, missing bolts, and welded area to be told they do not use the email listed on their website and do not check it. When I asked where I could forward the information I was informed that the owner would call me. It has been over a week and I have not been given the courtesy of return phone call. As a customer they have not taken the time to address my concerns but basically have ignored me and spoken to me as if I have no knowledge. As a business they should care about their business and the service they provide. If they are going to install in large parts such as a transmission they obtain from a salvage yard; used or not they should inspect the product to ensure that there are no faulty issues with the product. Missing bolts, welded area (on a 3,000 mile transmission??? - come on seriously), and stripped out bolt holes?
