    We’ve been pleased with Recology’s garbage, recycling and green waste pick up. However, yesterday I found several non-recyclable items we had mistakenly placed in our blue bin thrown in random spots in the street and sidewalk in front of our home. Please direct your drivers to be a bit more respectful. I apologize for putting the non-recyclables in the blue bin. Today I noticed one of your trucks exceeding the speed limit on our residential street. Please remind them to obey speed limits. Thank you.

    Never consistent on pick up times for rural areas. The staff are rude . Wish there were other options....

    I had a very strange experience with this company. I made a call to them on a Tuesday inquiring about picking up a sofa, and they told me how much it would cost to schedule for Wednesday pickup, since that is the day that particular service is provided. I called them back the next day. They told me I would be "billed" for the service when I inquired about payment. I called again several minutes later to confirm my details and it all seemed to be in order.After carrying my couch out of my apartment, I called again to be extra sure of when and where my couch needed to be, and they told me that they had no record of my calls. They even checked with every person who could answer a phone and insisted that they found nothing. Strangely, the person I spoke to said no one else in the office even remembered speaking to me (busy day, maybe?)...This time they told me because I live in an apartment complex, I would have had to pre-pay over the phone for the pickup, so the information I received initially didn't add up (miscommunication, bad phone connection, etc? not sure). I started to panic because getting a 100+ pound couch down a flight of stairs is much easier than bringing it back up, but after speaking with a manager, they helped me pay over the phone and sent a truck to come pick up the sofa.A word of advice if you plan to use Recology's pickup service: make extra sure to ask them how payment works and if there are any exceptions; additionally, ask for a record of some kind that you spoke with them (such as an e-mail) since their phone records system might be unreliable.I'm not sure if I will do business with them again because scheduling a pickup was an extremely surreal experience that I'd rather not repeat. Having said that, in the end they sent someone by to take the sofa, so I'm not going to give them a low rating or anything. What happened to me was probably just bad luck.I do apologize to the owners/employees if I sounded panicked or incredulous over the phone. I had a lot of work to do and had the couch removal as part of my schedule.

    The office staff are so efficient with figuring out problems and explain all the options, so you can get as close to what you need as the company allows. Lots of new tech on the trucks making life even more difficult than "normal" for those of us outside the city limits (we have no recycle or yard waste options other than stuff it into your car or bicycle during normal working hours - how I wish I could pay more and stop throwing all this into the trash!), and I wish the new trucks didn't crush soft-sided extra cans (how else can I get rid of yard waste?), and on and on, but I get trying to save money with automation. The human beings stuck in this difficult situation are caring and do try their best.

    First they forget to pick up my trash, now I have to wait on the stupid phone and listen to stupid music waiting for an employee that's probably napping like the one that was supposed to pick up my trash today. How did they get this contract?P.S. I finally got a hold of the rather rude receptionist. She claimed the driver forgot and they'll try and get someone out tomorrow. These people are real garbage, if you'll pardon the pun. I wonder if they'll come out tomorrow. I doubt it, garbage by any other name.........

    Online account access and payment system is excessive, clumsy, and outdated. It more difficult to login and navigate my Recology account than it is to log into my credit cards, checking accounts or mortgages. It's not just because these are bigger businesses because RVS and Rogue Disposal are also easy to access and navigate.
