I have dropped off scrap here before and was treated fair. But went to drop off more scrap, checked website for hours, and it said it was open, called the phone number listed on website, and no one answered. Made the trip anyways to find out they were closed. No hours listed on the building, no sign saying they changed their hours for covid. Was going to try again today, came here to get the number to call again. but after reading the responses to peoples reviews, I will take my business elsewhere as I’m sure a lot of other people are. If your responses of people reviews are the first thing people see, they should be professional, curious and empathetic. Not a 12 yr old boy taunting his little sister.

Very poor excuse for a company. Not anywhere close to having competitive prices. The employees are poorly trained if actually trained at all.. I left feeling like I'd been stolen from.

Took cans over they unloaded them went to pick up money was told they had no money gave me my receipts told me I can pick it up tomorrow the person blamed another employee but when talked to phone before getting their said person could have told me no money I would think twice about doing business with SPO this is my opinion will not be back i will take a cut in price think you

The joplin location on 7th street just offered me 1.30 for #1 copper and 1.05 for #2. Ridiculous. Definitely ripping people off over there. Take your copper and everything else for that matter 1.5 miles down the road to 12th street, they are paying 2.70 for #1 and 2.40 for # 2. Placds like this should be ran out of business due to their greed. Ripping people off. Do not go

What a great place! The people are super friendly, and it doesn't take very long to get in and get your scrap unloaded and get paid!

There is no reason for this business to be operating. The people who run it are ignorant and misinformed. They offer $30 for a ton of steel when not even a mile away Missouri Metal is buying a ton of steel for $75.

Great employees, but there prices are probably the lowest in the area, expressly on electric motors copper and wiring

i came from out of town to bring in a load because on your ad it said it open today and it was not waste of gas...awhile back went to usa metal and they kinda disorganized cause we was waiting for long time and they let others cut in front of us. and then heard employee make remark that if customers dont like it then tough that usa is giving them money. no if it wasnt for the customers they wouldnt have a paycheck and they wouldnt have business. there is other choices to go and they never been rude.

Great people great service to the Area . I highly recommend USA Metal's over many of our other local recycling centers. Hopen that with recent events the Fire they come back better than ever.
