They pay better than anyone in the surrounding area I won't go anywhere else never got treated wrong here where the person that works for Goodman and wolf scalls would not even let me finish my question about talking to the man who runs the place but yet when I asked for him at the payment window he wasn't too busy like I was told he was at the scalls I had been going there 25 plus years but won't go back

Best scrapyard in Terre Haute! Friendly, clean, great prices and they even give my dog treats when I come through the scales. Highly recommended!

After reading all the reviews we weren’t sure if we wanted to chance the experience everyone else was complaining about. But after two days of cleaning around the farm and 5 trips to Sugar Creek we are very happy with the experience we had! Staff was very personable and very nice plus prices were better than any other scrapyard in town! So hat’s off to them and they gained a new customer from now on. So if your having second thoughts about going here don’t hesitate you should definitely stop in. Thank you all for a great experience!

Through text messages and not being from the area just passing through I seen where they posted a motor for sale. They was all friendly and nice to get me there and yeah they did feel pretty welcoming however they stand behind nothing and the owner is more worried about the dollar than the customer which is not a very good head for business and will soon fail. With his happy recycling smart jives remarks that he thinks cute. While his employees is breaking several OSHA rules and having employed several known addicts with not a clue in what they're doing and not refunding a motor and which one of his employees dropped or even attempting to make it right. If it wasn't for the fact I had to give a star they wouldn't get any they wear one heck of a mask m. And to all who read this I do your happy recycling with justa better recycling company. Recycle else where get more money and leave with a smile verses a big what the heck just happened.

I used to love scraping here and the employees were very knowledgeable of their materials. I don’t however, like it now and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Their new scale operator is beyond incompetent! She has no knowledge of anything. I recently brought a truck load of cans in. When I was paid out she handed me $3.00! For an entire truck load of cans!! I addressed her with the mistake and she very rudely told me that “ I had Tin” Even my 5 year old knows what an aluminum can is! Thankful that the manager got involved and corrected her on her mistake. I miss the old Scale Operator! She was always so bubbly and helpful and always made us feel like a priority! Heck, I would even take that punk kid back over this new one!! This establishment lacks the integrity that it used to have. It’s very shameful since this has been our family’s number one scrap yard as well as a lot of this towns until recently.

They always help me when I go there. All nice people. Help with unloading whenever possible. Fair price on every truck load I take in. Will continue doing business with. A+ service

Sugar Creek Scrap was way above my expectations. The staff were friendly, helpful, and gave clear instructions. I can't for the life of me, understand some of the negative reviews. Local scrap prices will fluctuate, are different in different areas of the country, and sometimes some types of scrap vary even more in price. A business this involved and complicated is going to have some minor issues. I know, I run a small business.

If you notice most of the reviews are 2, 3, or 4 month's ago. They must have offered their customers some sort of incentive towards there Sugar Points if they wrote a review. Just to boost their #. The Elise, and Sam Levin their mother owns the Scrap Yard. Matthew H is married to Elise and the Asher is her son. So they are just trying to boost their #. This is a horrible place, they will cheat you whether you pull across the big scale or go to the small scale. They never pay what the scrap actually weighs they deduct for stupid reasons. Matthew is a horrible person with no morales who is just using the Levins for what he can get from them especially Elise. Two faced people with back stabbing agendas.
