Went in to dump some stuff for work. First load went great. Went to grab a different trailer on the second run. I ended up having some trailer troubles when I came back and both Brett and Nate were able to come over and help out. They brought over a jumper box and got things working again. They both were very nice as well. Awesome experience!

As the owner of a dumpster rental company I find myself making trips to the dump from time to time. I’ve used a lot of the dumps throughout Utah and Salt Lake County, but had never been to this one. They’re a landfill, nothing pretty or exciting about it. That said, I had a great experiences here at the Trans-Jordan Landfill. Today’s trip I interacted with 5 employees and they were all friendly with me. As a first timer here I wasn’t certain which area of the dump I needed to take my load and they politely guided me to the right spot. There’s a tarp removal area which was nice to have and something I haven’t seen at the other landfills and dumps. Weigh in and weigh out was easy and quick. As with all the landfills and dumps in the area they charge double if your load isn’t tarped. This landfill also does not take cash so for some people that may be an issue. They had signs up stating their green waste program is no longer available. Overall I feel like this is a well run landfill and we will definitely use it again.

Typically I only go here when it is later, and more convenient for a heavier load to keep stress on the vehicle lower. This review is due to an overall experience with my last visit. I was NOT able to empty my dumpster. They isn't as big a deal. I happened to have left my wallet at home. 25 minute commute each way. So about half way through my trip I called them to make sure tap to pay from my phone would suffice. They informed me it would so I continued. Once there They asked if I had an ID. I did not as my wallet was at home. They asked for registration for the vehicle. Some reason, I didn't have that. The wouldnt agree to take my phone as collateral. So she said, "sorry you'll have to go home and come back." Now, I didn't get angry with her. But do they really not have any other way to work around this? I would have even paid for the total weight and then taken the difference back as credit or cash upon exiting. But no. They charge more than slv and have seemingly no service to show for it. Slv registers my vehicle and trailer and streamlines that so this cant happen. Just makes me want to visit this place much less. Maybe this will help in expediting their term end at this location. Daybreak can take em outta there.
