Stone Cold Automotive has been the most reasonably priced and reliable shop I have been to in the southern United States. I have taken two vehicles here regularly. I initially came to him with an electrical issue dreading the cost. Through the mess the previous owner left with the PCM, Doug was able to get the major issues fixed quickly with some take-home instructions to replace the housing unit on the PCM myself to save on cost. The last project is a complete drivetrain replacement — I am replacing the transmission, driveshaft, and transfer case. I believe that overall I have invested near $20k into Stone Cold Automotive with vehicle repairs and towing. The second vehicle, a 2003 GTI 24V VR6 Golf, was a vehicle my family mechanic said he would send back if I sent it to him. Knowing it was going to be a problem car, I took it to Stone Cold Automotive. Working with Doug, we found a cost effective option and did the repairs, including but not limited to an engine replacement, CV axle replacement, and exhaust swap. All in total it came in around $6,000 for all of the work, which is at the low end 45% cheaper than a standard shop. I don't regret any transactions and fully plan on sending my truck here for any major repairs no matter where I am located in the US.

Doug and his team are wonderful people, they have worked with me for several repairs now and i have never had to bring something back for a return issue. This team cares about doing things the right way the first time and saving you from overspending. Some people will say he is overpriced and those people are idiots. Everything he quotes can be checked and verified before ever agreeing to the repair. He has always reveiwed his quotes with me and explained what is what for each item and what must be done to fix said issue. I cant recommend this shop enough and if i cant handle a repair myself i only go to doug because he understands the issue and the customer 10/10 service all around

This guy rescued me from sandridge during a snowpocalypse event. He is probably one of the coolest dudes I have ever met. Knew exactly how to recover 4 vehicles that were stuck in a ditch to include my own dually with equipment trailer. This is the guy you want showing up when you are having a bad day!
