I have used this shop many times over the years, and never (I don't like to use the word never) was disappointed. I had a clutch put in my Honda Civic Si, air conditioning taken care of, oil change, and even reset the oil life gauge, installed new starter, removed a nail, tires rotated and many others. I truly believe they are honest, and strive to do a good job. I would trust and highly rate them for working on your car. James Rosenbloom

I have used Trantham’s Automotive several times in the past without issue, but my most recent visit was unacceptable. I initially took my car in for stalling, hesitation, and panel lights cutting out. After keeping it for several days, they told me they could not diagnose anything without an active check engine light. When I returned with the light on, they informed me I had major transmission problems and recommended another shop. I sought a second opinion at the dealership, where I learned the only issue was a dirty battery connection. Once cleaned, all symptoms were resolved. Trantham’s also attempted to charge me for an incorrect diagnosis, including recommending new spark plugs that had already been replaced. When I brought this to their attention, the mechanic responded rudely, insisted their diagnosis was correct, and refused a refund. If they had raised my hood they would have noticed the huge amount of corrosion on the battery. Based on this experience, I feel that Trantham’s takes advantage of female customers, and I can no longer trust their service. I do not recommend this shop.
