I drive all the way from the gulf coast to bring my scrap here after I finish a job. This time their employee not only made me waste a 160 miles worth of fuel and time round trip but did it in a way that insinuated I was a liar and a thief! I’ve sold the same amount of scrap if not more numerous times before, I build heat exchangers and after each job take the scraps and left over material to the scrapyard. I pulled up this time and the guy asked me if I minded him asking where I got it to which I explained I build heat exchangers for numerous companies, boats, and individuals along the panhandle of Florida then after I told him and before I could say anything else he said he wasn’t comfortable buying it! Insinuating I was not only a liar but a thief! Keep in mind I had not only proof of ownership of all materials I was scraping also proof of business and literally the receipts from buying it in my truck! But by that point he had already made it known he thought I was a liar and a thief!! I will never sell or recommend anyone to sell to them, to be talked to and looked at like a criminal at first sight without even asking if I could verify ownership is by far the most unprofessional and disgusting behavior I’ve personally witnessed and if it were my yard I definitely wouldn’t allow an employees opinion of a faithful repeat customer loose not only good business but thousands of dollars a year! I was simply trying to get rid of scrap metal…. AT THE SCRAPYARD and I would’ve completely understood and produced proof of ownership had he conducted business the appropriate way but to be judged at first sight with less than 2 words spoken is not only profiling but just bad behavior and it lost them multiple customers as I will no longer be referring my customers to them to buy or sell anything also I will be reporting them to the BBB that is completely unacceptable and down right disrespectful

Driver in truck 06 is about as reckless as you can be on i10 in FL. Almost caused a accident. Maybe should let him know that he is a driving billboard for your company and should act professional and safe.

I felt good about my visit to R&D recycling. I was carrying a pretty varies load On a good size trailer when I arrived. The barrels were generally sorted, But we had several different types of stuff. They sent me through the large scale first, removed one major type of metal, and then weighed to see how much was removed. After that they sent me through both again for one more type before having me go to the smaller scale for the rest of our barrels. Everyone I dealt with personally was very helpful, and they did a good job helping me sort out what each barrel contained and being sure to get the appropriate value. If you have large recyclables to take care of, I think this is a great option for you.
