***Call a tow truck and have them drop your vehicle/trailer etc off at a reputable shop that will open tomorrow and get a good nights sleep in a decent hotel. I promise it’ll save you money. Don’t use Ernies towing.*** It wasn’t good service or price but when that’s all that’s out there on a Sunday afternoon.... Blown out boat trailer hub. So.....the guy showed up after about 45min. No English, got on the phone with the boss, estimate $500. Looked at it. Left, came back 1hr later with a decent work rig. Took the hub and drum of trailer apart(15minutes), took the drum with him(still no English) 2 hours later boss called and said they can’t find the part. So now we are almost 4 hours in and now it needs to be towed to their shop and can’t be fixed till morning anyway. They sent a tow truck of their choice, not real friendly. Said it would be done by 8am the next morning. They didn’t start working on it till we showed up at 11am to pick it up. Also! When they towed the trailer/boat the mechanic never came back to put it back together so the tow truck driver just drug the trailer/boat onto his flatbed...... my mind blew multiple ways..... Charged us $1200 A hub kit at an auto store is about $50 A drum is about $100 Right tools, about an hour of labor... done Trailer worked just fine after they replaced the wheel hub and drum. But they wasted a lot of time “looking for parts” and who knows what else.
