Daughter had her car towed after an accident, non-consensual by definition. PD had the car towed, no one provided any information to her or provided an option to tow herself. Only received a card from the officer after the car was loaded saying, you can pick your car up here. Went up same day to get some belonging, wasn't told anything regarding cost. Next day called and was told $325 to get her car out. $195 for the tow, $70 for storage (there less than 24hrs), $30 Gate fee because they put it in the impound lot, $30 for gas ($3.78/mile). When being told the cost, unsolicited by the worker, "this is what it will cost or you can give us the title and not have to pay it". Told she only had until 5pm to get her car, however from research, if towed at police request, vehicle has to be available to retrieve 24/7. I could be wrong, but I've requested the agreement between this company and the City of Greenfield as this seems to be a profitable to everyone but the consumer who gets stuck with an unknowing bill. Similar complaints found on Yelp. Indiana AG has been contacted, would've put in a complaint with the BBB but business doesn't seem accredited.
