This place is absolutely amazing!!! I had an issue with sensors and instead of telling me they needed to be replaced, they were honest and just fixed the problem for very little money. I had to come back a few days later because I had a problem with my tire and they took me in right away with no appointment. They did not try to sell me the most expensive tires, they sold me what I needed. Today I went in and asked them to check my oil. Another company had Supposedly fixed my oil problem, but apparently it was not fixed. Even though they knew I was going back to the other place, they put some free oil in my car so that I would not have engine problems. When I asked how much I owed them, they said nothing, we like to keep our customers happy. I am an extremely happy customer, they have done so much for me and they have been nothing but nice. I would like to give a shout out to the two guys that I specifically dealt with, one is Ron and the other one, unfortunately, I don’t know his name, but he is tall and has a very nice accent. I will definitely highly recommend the Carteret Pep Boys to anyone who needs car service! I have never dealt with a shop like this. They are the best! I have a few more things I would like to get done with my car and you can bet that I will be going to Pep Boys for them.

After tire installation mechanic didn’t install one of the wheel nuts back due to worn thread on stud, advisor knew about the problem when I contacted next day, but he failed to tell me about it at time of service. Travelled more than 20 miles with one wheel nut missing. They also told me that stud thread was observed damaged by mechanic and that they just decided to leave it like that and its ’’not a serious safety issue’’ and of course that they didn’t damage thread it “was like that”. I was shocked by all explanations. Never going back to Pep Boys for any kind of service.

I had an excellent experience at this Pep Boys location. My car desperately needed four new tires and it was taken care of quickly and professionally on the day I visited. Ronald, Fady, and the entire team of technicians are simply great and I felt very comfortable handing them my keys so they could perform their work. The whole process was transparent and I was routinely kept up to date during my wait. They made sure to apply the current promotion, too, which helped me save some money. I will definitely be returning for any other car-related services I need in the future. Thank you!
