This place is a joke!! We have hauled a LOT of vehicles to them in the past but never again! They are the only scrap yard that I have ever dealt with that pays you less money for your vehicles if you load them down with scrap metal. We took several vehicles to them last week again and one vehicle weighed 3200 pounds and the other weighed 2800 pounds ....the vehicle that weighed 2800 pounds paid more than the vehicle that weighed 3200 pounds because they paid us a $1.00 less per hundred because the 3200# vehicle had scrap wheels inside of it. Not to mention that they have one price for what they consider " incomplete " vs "complete" vehicle etc ....so basically anyway they can screw over you, they are going to do... EXAMPLE: $8.00 if loaded with scrap metal, $8.50 if "incomplete" 9.00 IF "complete" per hundred pounds. I can load a vehicle down with any kind of scrap metal and it can be missing the transmission and I will still get full price plus about a $1.00 more per hundred at Leonards or Pugh's ....I don't see how this place or s & a auto salvage stays in business with their crappy business practices!! I'm done with both of them... Leonard's is the fairest in the business, if you don't mind the wait....Pugh's runs a close 2nd pay wise (other than their attitude) but down home will get you every chance they get. If you read this and still choose to do business with them then don't say you haven't been warned. I have the scale receipts to back up my claims!

I know others who use Down Home Recycling service and highly recommend. After I used their services I wholeheartedly agree. Fairest prices in Randolph and surrounding counties. Definitely would not hesitate to sell to them again.
