Just a post to share about my visits to Buddy Isles Tire and Automotive, just the facts. On 11/18/2025, their technician installed a “tire patch plug” in my tire at a cost of $51. Front desk employee Autumn, said it was a permanent repair. On 12/05/2025 I took my Ram truck back due to the same area leaking air. Morgan Isles was at the front desk, she looked at me in disbelief, so I showed her a picture I took of the repair plug with soap bubbles around the plug. An hour plus after I was told to have a seat, Morgan said “I owe you a tire, your tire can’t be fixed”. She asked me if a used tire (which cost them nothing) could be a replacement for mine. That used tire had slightly less tread depth than my tire, so I said “no, you need to get another tire”. They did loan me the used tire until a new tire arrives. Morgan said she would call me with a “game plan”. I received a text later saying a new tire (Goodyear Touring Eagle, advertised on national website for $187, tire only) would cost me $292.00 installed, less a “good will” credit of $51 for the previous repair. I was aware my tire was approx. 50% worn so I texted back and offered to pay $125 for the new tire, Morgan said no. My tire was not fixable due to the faulty repair they did on 11/18; Morgan knew this because; she said “I owe you a tire”. No other issues were found with the tire. I decided to purchase 4 new Continental tires from Discount Tire in Roanoke Rapids and I returned the used tire back to Morgan. On 7/16/2025, I visited their facility to have the resonators on my ‘22 Ram pick-up replaced with straight pipes. I talked with a technician the week before, explained what I wanted. I told him they did the exact same work on my ’21 Ram in 2022 at a cost of $135 (ro#5625), he said, “that sounds about the right cost”. They charged me $278. (ro#46922). I chalked that up to me not getting a written estimate. I asked the employee at the front desk, Autumn, why the increase? She just laughed. I paid and left. On or about 7/1/2025, I received an estimate to repair minor damage to my Jeep Grand Cherokee in the amount of $1670. (work file id# fa38e29d). I got a 2 nd estimate from Graham’s Collision in Moyock. (They were located close to our 2 nd home) I had the work done there for $766, including a lifetime warranty! Buyer Be Aware: get that 2 nd estimate, shop around, read reviews, if you’ve had a prior negative experience; don’t go back! If you are thinking it is close to you, or you are helping a local business; it may not be the best choice for you in this particular case.

I left home Saturday on the way to FL towing a uhaul trailer. My low air indicator went off just as I pulled up to the light in Littleton. Having had great experiences before I decided to stop by Buddy Isles to get air. Auto service was closed but Parts was open. I asked if I could use their air hose and Cliff, one of team said yes and he would meet around the side. Cliff found a screw in my tire, opened the bay doors and repaired the tire for me. It was great experience once again from Buddy Jr., Morgan and Cliff. Thanks for going out of your way to help.
