I appreciate that I can recycle here especially on a Sunday, but the last two experiences have not been good. I showed up on a weekday a couple of weeks ago at about 5:15 PM and there was a sign saying it was closed for maintenance. I completely understand the need to occasionally close in order to take care of maintenance items but it takes 2 minutes to update the center’s hours on Google Maps with a closure notification. Today I showed up and all five recycling bins are completely jammed up. Seems like the city should be able to anticipate demand, and either have enough bins or empty them on a more regular basis. This is how you get trash left on the ground. (I did not do this - i forced my recycling in but I’m 6’ 6” so that’s not possible for many people)

Everything is just thrown in together! No sorting! I can’t believe that all of this stuff doesn’t just go in the landfill! Do they REALLY sort it? I have my doubts.Other recycling centers are far more organized AND they take glass! I hate going to Stone recycling!

Recycling center near downtown Greenville. Easy to access. Just be aware there is a raised divider median that only allows access from one direction. Great signage detailing what’s accepted and what’s not. Use this location frequently. Always feel safe. Facility neat and well maintained. **Tires are no longer accepted at this site.
