Is there anyone that can tell me how much the price of copper is

we got there afew minutes before 5. we thought they were open til 5 and the owner informed us he closes at 3 and he is only open on Monday. he was nice and bought scrap copper from us and wrote us a check right there since the copper was ours to begin with. I understand why people have to wait a day or two, but if the scrap is dirty (no pun intended) ??? then none ever does anything about it anyway
