Friend bought used 6.0 for 2k$ with 176k miles, i am a experienced technician and run my own personal business. I installed a fresh top end on the engine and immediately upon taking the oil pan off there was a gieant broken piece of metal in it from the timming chain guide. I have pictures which are time stamped to show this was the same day of purchase, i personally would have called immedently but we planned on installin a new one so we didnt really care too much. After a few days of driving the truck it blew the rear main seal out which involves a lot of labor to change. I had to remove the transmission to get acsess to the rear main seal. It was leaking oil and he kept having to add oil. After the fix the oil leak was gone but oil consumption was not. I tested the cyliders with what is called a leakdown tester. And there is no problem with our parts but the piston rings have a very significant amount of blow by which is the number 1 reason for oil comsumption and smoking engines. I called the buissness and very politly explained what was going on and they informed me that the only thing he would do is sale him another engine. I rrmained professinal and thanked him. We will be tearing it down monday morning and ill have lots more pictures. But im very dissatisfied especially around christmas they couldnt even offer to buy the rings or anything it was basicly like oh you are a few days past your warranty sorry bud. Well as for that how about time stamped pictures of the damage internally that would have failed the day it was sold if we didnt tear it down. Unless you plan on buying a used engine and compleatly tearing it down and replacing ALL THE INTERNALS DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

This place sold me a 2008 6.0 from a Yukon hybrid. 176,000. I bought the warranty with, It was having oil consumption, we did a leak down tests, results showed the rings were bad. We looked further into the motor, spark plugs showed burnt oil, so we went further into it, the timing change tensioner was also broke. I called them to ask if they could help with my situation, their response was “ we can sell you another motor “
