I was left on the scales for about 15 min when weighting out and the scales went up 60 lbs. when I told the one in the office she argued that I didn’t actually lose 60 lbs. wrong!

They are rude and cheated me out of money more than once!!! When they weigh cans they put them in a crate and then dump the cans out of the crate after weighing the cans in the crate, mark 7-12 lbs (whatever they feel like taking off at the time bc it changes every time) off the weight ticket. When you ask them to put the crate back on by itself without the cans in it to show you the weight of the crate they won't do it and there's no way that crate weighs 7 to 12 pounds so you lose who knows how much money... that's not fair and they need to change that. They should not make up how much the crate weighs...they should weigh it every single time when they dump the cans out and take THAT weight off the ticket, they should never make a guess of what the crate ways they should always have to weigh it by itself at least to show the person/customer who brought in the cans the real weight... I mean that's only fair. The price of things change often in Tennessee like other states and they don't even tell you the rate at which an item is worth per pound most of the time and if you ask the price they get an attitude with you. I think that they should have to tell you what something is worth per pound instead of you trusting them to give you the fair price that the items you brought in are worth per pound. I mean wow if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have put up with them for years & sure wouldn't have scraped all my junk there. I didn't know there was a better place until it was to late now all I scrap is cans we save over time and they don't give you squat for all you bring... they give lowest of the low price per pound there. I trusted them thinking they had the same prices as everyone else... BOY WAS I WRONG! They've cheated everyone I've talked to that has been there out of money big and small!!! THERES A BETTER SCRAP PLACE IN CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE!!! You still make more money at that one even after the gas you used to drive to Chattanooga! You come out with more money that way in the end than what you get from C&D! That's crazy to me honestly because you'd think you'd lose out by driving to Chattanooga but you don't. It baffles me how a business can get away with bad behavior and keeping people from fair pay! I hate to leave a bad review for any business, but I feel that people need to know the honest truth about a place before they get screwed over! Something needs to change... if anything their attitudes because they're making a ton of money off of us and we are they're customers... They should at least be nice and not be mean/have an attitude... They should change the crate thing too! I've even heard (from a friend who seen this first hand)of people going in with something and another person I guess friends of the owners/workers coming out with more money than the person before them with the same if not bigger item! What's up with that? Are they picking and choosing what people get whatever they feel Like paying at the time? I'm even holding back! I don't want to cause any problems and I only tell what has happened to me, close friends, & family... but mostly me. I don't go on rumors. I'm sure there's way more bad things just from what I've heard but like I said I don't go on rumors I go on facts! Fact is this place is not the best place by far to take your scraps to and things need to change for it to have a better reputation and for me, friends, and family to ever go back! Again I'm sorry for leaving a bad review and I don't want to cause any problems but enough is enough it's gone to far... We're all tired of being cheated out of money & treated awful!
