? Radford Residents – Be Aware of JES Towing ? I’m a resident and have a valid parking pass. JES Towing tried to tow a guest’s car from our lot — even though this property has no assigned spaces, no guest parking, and no guest passes available. The man, who said he was the owner of JES Towing, admitted there are no guest passes and told me to “call the leasing office if you ever have a guest.” Then he tried to charge $250 to release a car that was still hooked up but had never left the property — and threatened to “file criminal charges” if we disputed it. Under Virginia Code § 46.2-1231, towing companies can only charge up to $25 if the owner arrives before the tow leaves. I have video proof of the incident and have already documented it with DPOR and local authorities. Radford residents — keep your phones ready if you see JES Towing on your property. This behavior is aggressive, unlawful, and unacceptable.

JES Towing truly went above and beyond for me, treating me like family !!!!. When my car was towed due to my oversight in not moving it after being notified by my apartment complex, I was anxious to find out what happened. Upon meeting the owner of JES Towing, I was impressed by his professionalism and firmness yet kind demeanor. After sharing a laugh over my mistake, he generously offered me a discount on the tow bill and allowed me to leave my car at their facility for a day, enabling my mechanic to pick it up at their convenience, which was a huge help. What struck me was that the owner didn't have to do this, especially considering the limited space available in their lot. His actions was an example of kindness and compassion. It's clear that he values building strong relationships with his customers, demonstrating that respect can go a long way. I felt compelled to share my story, as it's a powerful reminder that there are still good people in this world who are willing to lend a helping hand to those in need !!!!

This company towed my vehicle from my property while I was out of town. He states it was “blocked” in, but we do have to park in our driveway… (my husband was home) At any rate. What a NIGHTMARE dealing with him! Attitude from the start! Making scoffs and jabs as you’re just trying to figure out what you can do to either get your car or the items in it! Wasn’t helpful at all! He stated he wasn’t at work bc it was 6:15 when I called, but their listing on Google CLEARLY states 24 hours and it’s open now (after ending the call)! I truly hope he has the day he deserves!
