I purchased a vehicle from them in May of 2023 when they gave me the title it had the original owner's name on it and their signature. I have been carrying insurance on this vehicle for over a year. They have yet to give me a proper title so I'm unable to drive this vehicle. We bought it as is have put over $5,000 into it to make it drivable and we still can't get a title. I even sent them the title back with a letter and a self-addressed prepaid priority Mail and nobody is getting this correct to give me satisfaction. This is the worst company. Every time I call nobody answers. Every time I leave a message nobody calls back. I need to know when enough is enough I want the title so I can properly drive this vehicle. We paid for it. We want it.

I would like to start off by saying this post is meant to spread awareness and express my overall view of this business. I mean no negative impact on the company. My recent involvement with Davis Auto Sales has left me very dissatisfied with their service. My car was involved in an accident where it had to be towed to Davis Auto Sales prior to being transported to a shop for assessment. While having my vehicle in possession of Davis Auto Sales, my rims and tires were removed/stolen from off my vehicle and away from the property. This as since caused more damage. I discovered the theft by alert from my insurance company who sent another towing company to transport my vehicle when noticing it was without tires. I received no word from Davis Auto Sales in regards to this and was rather upset (as would anyone be). My vehicle sat parked in an non-surveillance area at the property for about a week due to what seemed to be little to no communication between the insurance company and Davis Auto Sales. It was apparently communicated to them my vehicle to suppose to be scrapped and sent to a junk yard, in which I couldn’t understand how they were told being no one really being able to contact them. Furthermore, I arrived at the business upset about the situation and phoned local law enforcement. There was much back and forth about how this could have happened in which I received responses from the owner like: (As well as many chuckles) “You tell me how they did it.” “I don’t know how it happened.” “Is it my fault that you hit a deer?” This caused me to be more upset as I felt the owner had no sympathy about what has happened nor caring to resolve the issue. Since this happening, the business as relied on the issue being my problem to fix and has little involvement. Accountability was lacked in the matter of the business and I hope this explains why my frustrations were just and valid. Davis Auto Sales did state they would look into applying more surveillance on their property, but it still does not take away from needing to resolve the issue at hand. I want to post my experience to offer others to express their experiences and raise caution. As I know this was a “unique situation” as stated by the owner, how they chose to handle the matter is why I want the community to know of their actions. I caution others to be mindful of who they handle business with in regards to accessing your property. I would hate to hear this matter further happening to anyone else.

Not the typical person to leave a review for businesses, but I feel moved to give Davis Auto Sales a shout out for outstanding services. While waiting for my appointment, I overheard a conversation between an employee, Bob, and a man who had just been in an accident close-by. As the disheveled and (rightfully) disoriented customer paid and thanked Bob for his repairs, Bob offered some unsolicited advice: “Please, before you get back in your car to drive, consider my best suggestion that you walk next door to McDonalds for a cup of coffee, maybe some breakfast, and some air-conditioned moments of relaxation. Statistics show that, despite physically being unharmed and maybe even feeling mentally unharmed, anyone who has just been in an accident and then immediately gets back into their car to drive, is 50% more likely to get into another accident.” The customer replied that he was fine and thanked him, while saying he probably will just head over to his insurance company to file a claim instead. Bob then offered the customer his own money to get some breakfast, and kindly reminded him that insurance companies will drag their feet on filing the claim anyways, and that he might as well just take a few minutes to himself before addressing the next things on his to-do list. While the customer didn’t take Bob’s money, I did watch him leave the parking lot on foot and head into McDonald’s for breakfast. I’m typing this review as Bob types up a quote for my repairs. He took the time to bring me back to his shop and physically show and demonstrate to me the equipment that needed fixing, while he carefully explained to me what needed to be done and why. Bob guided me in a professional way, while maintaining an air about him that made me feel cared for and looked after. I trusted his assessment and his advice, not only because he was knowledgeable while explaining my car’s needs, but also because of the way Bob showed he truly cared for the well-being and safety of each customer he encountered. I’m thankful for the help I received from Davis Auto Sales today, and I feel lucky to have encountered Bob’s kindness. I will absolutely be back. Happily, Sarah Kelly
