Had them tow my smart car to their shop. The car has white smoke coming from under the engine when it warms up. They checked it out and told me the alternator was overheating and replaced it for a bit over 1k. Picked up my car and noticed the car was failing to start. talked to them about it but they just said it did that when they got it but my car didn't have an electrical problem before. I ended up taking the car as they weren't taking any responsibility. Drove it to work, car smoked like crazy still by the time i made it to work. They obviously replaced something that wasn't the problem, didn't fix the problem and when I contacted them they just told me to bring it in and they'll check it out for more money. They should have never gave it back to me in the condition it is in. They didn't do a proper diagnosis and charged me for repairs that weren't to fix the actual problem. I've checked my car out and the overflow for the coolant is completely empty which I had told them I thought it was a coolant issue but they obviously didn't bother checking that or doing an actual diagnosis. When I was talking to the guy at the shop about the car after the repair we looked at the engine and I noticed the alternator is right at the top of the engine and I had told them the smoke was coming from under the engine. Seems questionable that it cost 1k to replace but again, it didn't even fix the issue the car is having. They refused to stand behind their work, gave me my car back without the issue fixed, with more problems now than it originally had, and I'm out a lot of money and a car I can't drive. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
