HIGHLY recommend Halseys Automotive. I'm visiting my brother in town with my two kids and was having a grinding sound with my breaks. I needed to get my vehicle looked at right away bc I had to leave the next day to drive to DC. I stopped made an appointment with two places, Halseys and another mechanic not too far from Halseys. I saw the other guy first who didn't even look at anything and told me I would need new breaks both front and back. He also pointed out a nail in my tire and said I would need to get a new tire. I told him I would get back to him and went to Halseys. They took my car back and took of the wheels to actually see what was going on. Turns out I still had about half the life left on my break pads! And the grinding sound was just some rust on the rotor's from moisture (had driven through a bad snow storm to get to my brothers house and then the car set and didn't drive for several days). So not only did they actually take the time to look at what was really going on, they noticed the nail in the tire and took it upon themselves to go ahead and remove the nail and repair my tire for me. They were personable, HONEST and very professional. Went above and beyond in my book! I'm a hard sell to give someone 5 stars - but Halseys earned it hands down!! I would feel comfortable sending anyone I know and love to them and know they would be in good hands.

I highly recommend Halseys Automotive! Mr. Halsey located a used engine which he installed quickly and significantly cheaper than anyone else in the area which I received quotes. I have used Mr. Halsey numerous times since that first encounter and you will not find a better mechanic, cheaper rates, and honest individual in SOMD. I give his business 5 stars in all areas!
