We moved to Southern Maryland in 1998 and our first experiences with local auto mechanics were terrible. High prices and repairs that didn’t seem necessary (higher prices and more maintenance in Maryland than New York -- New York??). A friend recommended Jeff at St Mary’s Automotive and that changed immediately. First change was a replacement radiator for my old Saturn, the estimate Jeff gave was about $2k less than the place we were using. The Saturn ran perfectly with the radiator that Jeff installed. Jeff maintained my second Saturn with the same low cost. St Mary’s Automotive maintained my wife’s Sienna mini-van to the point where its mileage could have taken it past the moon. But what we liked best about Jeff was when he told us “this is a good car for around here but stop taking it on trips to the Midwest” after it had passed the moon mileage. He had replaced all the important things, but was honest with us that something could go wrong with the other 1000 parts in the car. Now the car is used in Connecticut for teaching young relatives to drive and is still going strong. St Mary’s Automotive now maintains our Subaru Forester and Cadillac ATS and they run as well as when we took them off the showroom floor. Trust and confidence is how I feel about St Mary’s Automotive and because of it the cars we drive.
