Customer reviews of Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Warminster Heights, PA
3.6 stars based on 30 reviews- CChris Konopka
This review is primarily concerning their failure to properly train some members of their management team. I bought a box of 5 drinking glasses marked 4.99. The day before I had bought two boxes, each marked with the same price, each with the same design glasses, just different size. This box of 5 matched all the other ones I had already purchased, but there were only 5. Then I discovered the 6th matching glass on the shelf, priced individually. Clearly this was a mistake in the pricing department, not unlike pricing a frying pan separate from its lid. When the cashier asked the manager to come out to resolve the issue, I expected an easy resolution for such a clear oversight. What I got instead was a curt “whatever it’s priced that’s what we have to sell it for” and she returned to her office. Are managers in a store to correct mistakes when they see them? Or merely to show the customer who’s boss? Are there Goodwill police that I’m not aware of who are ready to punish a manager who tries to fix something? Please don’t hide behind the line “there’s nothing I can do”. You are the manager and there IS a right thing and a wrong thing you can do. Choose the right thing, and if you don’t want to, then be honest and say “I don’t care to help you.” Incidentally, I could have easily slipped the single glass into the box where it belonged with the price tag not showing. But I tried being honest

Horrible experience with one of the cashiers. The line was long and she came later to help the other two ladies. (I knew the other two cashiers. The middle aged lady and the curly haired lady with glasses. They are always nice and helpful). But this young lady was not helpful at all. She refused to sell me some items that I wanted to purchase, just because of missing price tags. I’ve been to many Goodwill stores all around the US but never treated like that after spending long time in a long line. That lady needs more training on customer care. Her attitude was not pleasant at all.

This store is just a donation front for their online store. Nothing of value to be found. Some things are reasonable and others are way overpriced. I saw some questionable items today while in the store. A clearly used toilet brush, an urn (with some ashes still visible inside), and a pet urn. The toilet brush should have never been donated and it should have never made it to the shelf. Update: I decided to stop by again today, but I was deeply disappointed again. The shelves were nearly empty, and what was available felt like overpriced junk. It’s clear that anything of real value is being funneled to their online store to maximize profit. The physical storefront seems to be an afterthought — just a donation drop-off, not a genuine retail space. You won’t find a single name-brand item in the store; all of those are posted online. It’s sad because the money from these sales doesn’t appear to be going directly back into the local community. I’m still unclear about Goodwill’s mission, and their vague mission statement doesn’t seem to align with what they pay their employees.
