Crystal Springs advertises "Girlfriends Getaway" and other adult getaways but in my opinion this is false advertising. Other than the spa, there is nothing geared towards adults visiting without children. We were 4 adult women looking for a relaxing getaway. They have a steam room, Sauna and hot tub with signs stating "Under 18, not permitted". Well, we sat in the sauna and were joined by a group of underage children. We then went to try the steam room and again children as young as three with their parents came in, the steam room quickly turned into a playground. The hot tub was overridden with children as young as 2. If you go with children this would be an ideal place to visit. The room was nice, the food was good but for 4 adult women this was not worth the drive or the high price tag attached. The highlights of our 2 night stay was the DJ at Kites and the Cabaret show at Cascades. Both evening events with nothing to do during the day. Another note to mention, Crystal Springs does not provide transportation to and from each of their locations (3 miles apart). We did not want to drive over to the other site and asked if Uber was in the area, they replied that Uber doesn't come to the area. We were given a business card for a taxi/limo service for our transportation, were quoted $30 each way for a 3 mile trip. I went outside for a puff and met an Uber driver, he said he would charge us $10 each way (no brainer), we used him instead. If you are planning to go without children and do not golf, this is not the place to go.

The resort is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. We stayed in one of the queen bed rooms, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and hard. The walls are very thin, so we could hear screaming children overnight in the rooms next to us and in the hall at all hours. The front desk staff were lovely and upgraded us to a suite, which made a huge difference in our experience. The king bed was much more comfortable and the suite offered some reprieve from all the screaming, but you could still hear some as the walls were still very thin. The biosphere in concept is cool and the actual structure is beautiful, but it was so crowded and filled with loud kids and their drunk parents not paying attention, that we were constantly being splashed, kicked, run past, and there were never seats for us. Even the hot tub and sauna areas that state they are for 16 years and up are not monitored, so there were small kids in those areas at all times as well. The experience in the pool was about a 1 out of 5. The food was meh at best, but at least the serving staff were friendly and efficient. All in all, if you’re trying to have a nice romantic getaway, probably not your place and I would highly recommend finding somewhere else. If you’re trying to ignore your kids while you get drunk and let them run wild with no respect for those around you, it’s the place for you.

I stayed here on a business trip, and this place is absolutely beautiful. While it is a higher-end resort, it is truly worth every penny. The rooms are set up like mini apartments, complete with a kitchen, stove, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The amenities and service are top-notch. I especially enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace while watching TV in the comfort of my room. The outdoor grounds are stunning and very well maintained. The food was excellent, and overall I had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quick getaway, I highly recommend booking at Crystal Springs.
