List of Junkyards in Salem City
We purchased a used Jeep Cherokee from Davey and the buying experience is very simple. Remember, these are projects so don't expect a perfect vehicle here. You will have to do work to these and will have to get dirty in doing so. These could be hiding mechanical problems so be warned. What we found at Davey's was many southern Jeeps with a lot of life left in them. No pressure to buy at all. You can only test drive on the lot and make your best judgement based on that. If you're not mechanically inclined, you may want to shop elsewhere. We found something that was priced a bit more than local used Jeeps of the same year, but with NO rust from North Carolina. We found a great vehicle with a clean title to make a daily driver or a very clean slate to start a Jeep build. So, if you figure in locating and transporting this vehicle to Ohio, its well worth what we paid for it. If you're building a Jeep and are going to drop a lot of new parts on it, you would be crazy to sink time and money into a rust bucket from NE Ohio, one of Davey's Jeeps makes a lot more sense. And since it is not rusty, it will be much safer to drive and wheel.Davey lays out his "rules" on his website. His hours are 8-4 M-F and cash only for vehicle sales. Show up between those hours and you are fine. Before we visited the lot, I emailed the owner and he was very prompt in returning emails during the evening. When we pulled in shortly after 8am, we were greeted by a very nice owner and his wife behind the counter was very pleasant to work with. We were able to transfer title here like you would at any car dealer. I have had more difficulty trying to buy groceries at Giant Eagle without a shoppers card than I did buying a Jeep and transferring the title at Davey's. I was out the door in minutes after we decided to buy. It took longer to load the Jeep on my trailer than it did to make the transaction. Next time I need a used Jeep, I will check Daveys out first.

Play Rather gave my mom a shady deal they turned around and had told her that they were going to give her between 4:50 to $500 for her car she told them what the vehicle was and everything they had a chance to go online look at the information before they even quoted her a price and yet they still ripped her off at $366 I'm sure she could have done better if she sold her on the side of the street

Great service. So thankful they were there when I was dumb and pulled too far into a snow covered parking lot. The driver was so friendly and helpful and didn't even laugh at my stupidity.
