I used to call them and pick up parts all the time. The company changed, and since they are online now, I can't find common parts that actually fit the vehicle model I have. I live 5 minutes away, and can't even get proper customer service for the wrong shipped part over the phone or in person. Wasted money on some parts that obviously aren't for my car, and are now in my scrap bin. Really sad, because this used to be a reliable place, now it's just a place I avoid at all costs. Would give zero stars if I could, because the place deserves it.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Benwood Auto Parts. I dealt with them only via phone and their website, but their service has been exceptional! Michelle could not have been more helpful and responsive to all my questions. I will definitely use them, again, when I need car parts, and I would highly recommend them to anyone else.

I emailed the company regarding some parts I saw on eBay. They promptly responded back and I was able to speak with a gentleman there named Jason. Great guy! Very professional and courteous. Gave me the best deal ever! I bought doors for my suburban and ended up spending more than I intended. Thanks Jason!

I don't know what the negative reviews are about! This company is the BEST used/new aftermarket parts company I have EVER dealt with. I live nearly half way across the country and call them for parts before anyone local. If you want the highest quality service and parts around call Benwood. No I do not work for or have been asked to write this review by this company however I firmly believe that this company stands out miles ahead of the rest, and its bothersome to hear negative reviews. DEFINITELY give these guys and gal a call!

I work for a small independent auto dealership in a small community. We sold a GMC Yukon to some folks, then shortly after, they brought it back saying the navigation head unit would not load or play discs (everything else worked). Now, because we are a reputable dealership and keeping our customers satisfied is paramount to us, especially being in a small community like ours, instead of reminding them they signed an AS-IS agreement and turning them away we offered to have the system repaired or replaced to get it working properly, no charge. They deiced to have us take the Yukon until is was fixed.I found the head unit we were after offered for sale by Benwood Auto Parts via eBay. It was advertised to be tested 100% functional. Once we received the unit, about a week after purchasing it, we had our local GM dealer install it. We were then notified that the system was producing no sound, which is a new problem. The dealer and two other reputable car audio shops confirmed to us it was the new unit from Benwood that was the culprit. At this point, our customers were getting very antsy about getting their vehicle back. So we had a choice to make: do we go through the lengthy process of starting a refund/replace case through eBay, sending it back, MAYBE getting a replacement that may or may not even work, etc etc, while our customers' satisfaction dwindles and dwindles, OR do we just have this new unit repaired so we can get our customers on the road and keep them satisfied? We opted for the latter. We simply had no choice if we want to keep our customers satisfied. We had a car audio repair shop charge us $300 to take the disc player from Benwood's unit and combined it with our old one to make one 100% functional unit. We were then able to get our extremely patient and understanding customers down the road satisfied, and keep our good rep intact.I told Benwood what happened, emailed them the receipt, an asked that they might reimburse us for what we had to spend to repair the unit. THEY REFUSED to help, even slightly. I realize that we did not follow their strict return policy, but I figured they would want to keep their customers happy, as we do with ours, even in our special circumstances, especially if they failed to deliver what they promised. In my opinion, if a business guarantees the item they sell you to be 100% functional and it isn't, they should do everything in their power to assist in salvaging their customer's satisfaction, provided it's valid (which it is in our case), no matter what the circumstance.BUYER BEWARE: Be prepared to receive damaged good from Benwood Auto Parts. Also be prepared to get shafted if your circumstances aren't in line with their return policy. In my experience with them, customer service takes a backseat so profits can ride shotgun.

If you deal with them and everything goes as planned they are competitive on their pricing I agree. The moment something goes wrong though prepare for hell if you want your money back. At best you'll get a partial refund. They do not stand behind their defective products. They ship you a defective item, then they automatically deduct the price they paid for shipping from the amount you paid evergreen though they sent defective products then they want you to pay again to ship their defective item back to them. The company will most likely respond and twist the reviews around to their advantage and save their behinds but the second you run into one problem with them you wish you wouldn't have ignored the negative reviews, don't always base reviews based on the ppl who have always had good luck with them

********In response to the review written by Mr.Bryan Meyerott:*********Being involved in the ownership of Benwood Auto Parts, first and foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that our part may have caused you, your staff or your customer. We test all of our parts and strive to provide nothing short of the best quality products and customer service to go along with them. I am truly sorry that this part did not work properly and failed your expectations. This is why we stand behind ALL of our parts with a no-hassle six month part guarantee and free, easy returns. As both an owner AND a consumer, I also read reviews of companies before I make a decision to do business with them. Most of my decision comes not just from the customer reviews, but how the owners/managers handle complaints. If they are genuine, apologetic and resolve the issues, I personally think that speaks volumes about the company and how they conduct business. Things can go wrong, so naturally everyone wants to trust who they purchase from. However, I will not hesitate to defend my company when a review contains false information. Mr. Meyerott purchased a part from our company and claimed in his review to have an issue with the functioning immediately after installation. On all of our invoices, (as well as all of our online selling platforms), our warranty details are easily outlined. We ask explicitly that you call us IMMEDIATELY to let us know of any issue (as any company would). This will allow us to resolve your issue at once. Secondly, we state explicitly that altering the part in any fashion will void the warranty (as any company would). In most cases, such as this one- we would have been happy to overnight a replacement at no charge, or send a call tag and issue full credit. Instead, Mr.Meyerott took it upon himself (with NO contact to us prior), to alter the part by disassembling and connecting it to another part. He then contacted us days later, demanding (not "asking" like his review says) that we pay him for the part AND the labor! I have all of the documentation of him threatening to leave us negative reviews if we did not. Wouldn't this be like having your mechanic do work on your car that you did not authorize and then calling you after telling you to pay them?Frankly, his assumptions of our warranty policy did not warrant not picking up the phone to let us know of a problem with our part. He is correct in his review where he says "if a business guarantees the item they sell you to be 100% functional and it isn't, they should do everything in their power to assist in salvaging their customer's satisfaction"- but we have to be NOTIFIED of the problem first! If you take a look at our eBay website (user: benwood_auto_parts), you can see that we have over TEN THOUSAND POSITIVE REVIEWS! These reviews also contain positive feedback from customers that did in fact have an issue with a part. Their reviews were positive because of how the staff here at Benwood Auto handled their problems. As you can see for yourself- most of the customers that did have an issue commented on how EASY and FAST our return/exchange policy is.Buying a used part certainly has a degree of "risk/reward". We are so confident in our products that we stand behind them for a full six months, not 30 days, not 90 days. My family's name is on every part that leaves the building. I take this responsibility very seriously. I appreciate those taking the time to read our reviews. I am here everyday during the week to answer any questions that anyone may have.

Found them on Ebay, but called and picked up the part in store the next day. Super friendly, fast and helpful. I purchased a side mirror but ended up getting a rim too. Fair prices and wide selections. I will be buying from them again before a parts chain retailer.
