Original Review: I hired Casella (and so did two of my immediate neighbors) for seasonal / Saturday trash pickup for our rental property in Old Orchard Beach, ME. Yesterday (July 24, 2021) was the second time this season they failed to pick up our trash. I tried calling yesterday to alert them at 2pm and was only able to speak with an answering service who essentially told me there's nothing she can do and no one she can call. We now have 11 over flowing trash barrels on the side of the street till Tuesday. This is the second time this has happened this season.Update: Bumping up my review to 3 stars. After I emailed one of the higher ups, he promptly called me and personally came over with a trailer to pick up the trash. He obviously cares about customer satisfaction and I genuinely appreciate what he did. He informed me that what happened was due to a labor shortage. While I'm sympathetic to the labor challenge, when you pay for a service you expect it to be delivered.

I live in old orchard beach and needed to dispose of a car tire. I called the town and they told me to call Casella as they take care of this.After sitting on hold for 10 minutes I decided to drive there. The woman that was working the window was not very helpful and appeared as though she didn't want to be there.I told her I needed to dispose of a car tire w/ no rim. She told me $12. I pointed to the sign posted on the window and said you need a new sign (as it said $10) she replied No. Excuse me your sign says $10, she says it's hazardous waste or some such thing...Probably should just list $12 instead of misleading people.Then said I needed a hard hat in order to throw the tire in the pile. I pull in to the area and their employee is walking around w/o a hard hat...Bad experience overall, I won't go back.
