CAP is always a first choice for auto parts for my family. It's been there since 1979, I think 🤔.. They usually have the best price around. Good Luck.

Bring your tools to remove parts. Good prices. Genito road is the truck facility. You can look up what vehicles they have on line

CAP is my go-to salvage yard for all of my used part needs. They know exactly what they have and where it is, and can lookup interchange details for you. The yard is very clean, and all of the vehicles are up on stands providing easy access for part removal. Bring your tools, and take home a bargain!

My brother and I went for a part for my car and I have not been so humiliated in my life I asked a question and was totally ignored like I was not there he started talking to my brother about my car and I am the one spending my money I myself will not be going back there I won't give them a star at all but that's the only way to write a review

Not going to tell you what to buy or what not to buy but I am ASE certified in Coolant and oil recycling. The "recycled" anti freeze here is filtered with an old sock in the bottom of a rusty steel drum. The only thing recycled about it is when you put it in your car. Chesterfield auto parts is a wonderful place to get parts. That's about it. Don't bother walking in there with a story either because they canned the only guy that actually enjoyed talking to the customers. A bad employee isn't always a corrupt employee. Sometimes just being a jerk is what makes you a bad apple. And Chesterfield auto parts has an orchard of them. They will have this review removed most likely. But in reality if you stop buying antifreeze that would cause major issues because they have enough problems allocating the antifreeze every year as it is. The stuff is great if you're trying to test a radiator though. The antifreeze has its purpose but IT IS NOT "recycled" as they claim it to be. I went to school for that stuff I would know. Also if you were looking to make a documentary on OSHA violation's this place is an absolute gold mine for ya. The pictures and videos I have alone are violation worthy. There is also an employee at the Southside location that speaks EXTREMELY POORLY of I would say about 95% of the clientele as soon as they leave the sales floor. Will even go back on camera and show multiple employees and proceed to slander the people they are doing business with. Yes, this a person of authority. Still. A wonderful place to purchase used auto parts. 10/10

Customer service was great today. Part was well priced. only issue I have is the new website doesn't tell the location of the truck. Meaning do I go to Ft. Lee, genito or Midlothian? Fix the site please.

Some parts a over priced. Customer service is terrible. I dented a rim and needed a rim for my 98 f150 because I was using my spare rim which was a flat silver (the other 3 are chrome same design as a spare). When I went about 3 months ago they only had a silver rim, I could not find a chrome one. And I was leaving for a trip so a spare tire was my priority. So I paid for a tire and rim 3 months ago it was about $75 I thought it was over priced because I really only needed the rim and the tire was old. the guy marked the tire and rim, I put it in the back of my truck and went on with life. I went yesterday for an upper control arm, and found the rim I needed. So yesterday I asked the guy while I was checking out if I could swap out, that the tire and rim still have the paint on them that I need a chrome one, he was rude and I just remember replying to the guy that I already bought a tire and rim I’m not buy another one. I didn’t use this tire or rim. I got my tire out of my truck to show the guy that I did buy the tire and rim 3 months ago the paint is on it. And he won’t exchange the tire and rim. Any car guy would have made sure I left with four matching rims regardless. This is terrible customer service! I asked to speak to the manager but he was busy. I then spoke with him briefly out side but they were closing up. His excuse was the registrars are closed at 4:45 and the close at 5!

I needed parts for my '97 Tacoma. Luckily for me, there were a few compatible trucks there. The parts are from mostly crashed units, which didn't seem to be damaged. I saved BIG money by getting them at CAR. The staff is pretty friendly. If you need to go to the restroom, go somewhere else first, otherwise you'll be using the port 'o John...low overhead will get you inexpensive OEM parts!

I was looking for a part for Rav4. I found it in their inventory on their web site and drove from Baltimore MD to Richmond VA. Aubrey helped me locate the car, retrieve/ dismantle the part. It was fast . Cost me $17 for labor $23 for the part. ( otherwise another part from AH auto parts from Rancho Cordova would take 1 week and $79) (Or a new one from Toyota dealer from SF for $575 which they claimed the only one left in the USA) This place has a huge inventory, and well organized. They have 3 locations in VA. You can see if they have the year, model and make of the car by doing a search on their web site. Go there early. Make sure to bring your your tools. I was lucky Aubrey explained me the whole process patiently and with the manager”s discretion and proactive attitude he left his post at the register and took out the part. A conscientious and professional employee alongside of a helpful manager saved the day for me. Thank you.

Love this place! I recently went to Pick a Part in Fredericksburg and it really made me appreciate this place. CAPs had the following advantages. 1. They are very organized. Car are off the ground, the lot is clean, the cars are easy to get too. 2. They show you how long the car has been on the lot. This is really handy! It gives you an idea of how likely you are to find the part your looking for. 3. The prices are great I've saved so so much money using these guys.

Awesome place.. I struck out today somebody beat me to the transmission I was looking for.. ( damn it ) But I have scored big time in the past here and at their 2 other locations.. but Chesterfield Auto parts is a great place to find salvage parts.. They have a 30 day hassle free return policy on everything and also offer some extended warranty as well for a lil extra. I think they also have people there that will pick the parts for you for a small fee as well but I always pick my own.. I would definitely recommend CAP first and if they don't have the parts then go somewhere else but CAP is the best place in my opinion

I am a Mom and I took my son to chesterfield auto parts to buy a very heavy item. Too heavy for me to help my son. There is a guy that works here, that is very nice, polite, and very helpful. His name is Rick. He saw me struggling so he just came on over to help. We need more people like him. I hope he gets a raise!

Will see if used baytery works. Trying to get another simple body part is a joke. Staff could have cared less that they sent me on hours work to search their list of dozen matches for my part to buy one that still didn't match. Returned the part, got refund before I left. When complained, was actually told I wouldn't have had all the problem if I 'knew what I was doing'!! They are telling me I don't have average human common sense. My mistake for calling and trusting them to tell me they had trucks that would match what I needed!

I use to love this place. But they moved all the cars to their other locations. Only truck parts here. I always try to first pick parts over purchasing new but I have not purchased from them since they changed . Real bummer!

Went to the Midlothian location for a truck part and learned that trucks had been moved to Genito Road next to Southside Speedway near 288 and US360. Both locations are must-see and should be on every list of area attractions. Vast arrays of wrecked vehicles to explore and self-select and remove the parts you need. Great, cordial staff, too! Always worth the trip!

I never have a problem going in and finding what I need and getting it off a wreck truck myself. If I need prices or have questions they are always happy to assist me on the phone, the selection is always great.

Called to ask if they had 8x6.5 wheels to use as rollers for a Jeep project. I had to explain they were off almost ANY Dodge or Chevrolet thats a 2500. Guy said they don't know whether they are 8 lug or not. Their computer doesn't list for Suburban or Silverado whether it's 2500 or not. Told me "they don't inventory any of the parts that I would just have to come out and look." Useless.
