We purchased a used Jeep Cherokee from Davey and the buying experience is very simple. Remember, these are projects so don't expect a perfect vehicle here. You will have to do work to these and will have to get dirty in doing so. These could be hiding mechanical problems so be warned. What we found at Davey's was many southern Jeeps with a lot of life left in them. No pressure to buy at all. You can only test drive on the lot and make your best judgement based on that. If you're not mechanically inclined, you may want to shop elsewhere. We found something that was priced a bit more than local used Jeeps of the same year, but with NO rust from North Carolina. We found a great vehicle with a clean title to make a daily driver or a very clean slate to start a Jeep build. So, if you figure in locating and transporting this vehicle to Ohio, its well worth what we paid for it. If you're building a Jeep and are going to drop a lot of new parts on it, you would be crazy to sink time and money into a rust bucket from NE Ohio, one of Davey's Jeeps makes a lot more sense. And since it is not rusty, it will be much safer to drive and wheel.Davey lays out his "rules" on his website. His hours are 8-4 M-F and cash only for vehicle sales. Show up between those hours and you are fine. Before we visited the lot, I emailed the owner and he was very prompt in returning emails during the evening. When we pulled in shortly after 8am, we were greeted by a very nice owner and his wife behind the counter was very pleasant to work with. We were able to transfer title here like you would at any car dealer. I have had more difficulty trying to buy groceries at Giant Eagle without a shoppers card than I did buying a Jeep and transferring the title at Davey's. I was out the door in minutes after we decided to buy. It took longer to load the Jeep on my trailer than it did to make the transaction. Next time I need a used Jeep, I will check Daveys out first.

I’ve used these guys in the past to save a Jeep build of mine. They again were very helpful and had what I needed this time around as well. The pics in the web showed a nice looking tub when I got there I was even more thrilled. Great place will for sure do business again. Thanks for all the help folks!

Great experience! Purchased an engine and tub in late may. Engine is still running strong. My recent purchase was exceptional in that Davey sent me a photo of what i was buying. This was an awesome touch because i had described the wrong part (lower door hinge, instead of body hinge mount) in an email and would not have caught my error without seeing the pic. Great idea and fantastic service. Thank you.

Neat place, very friendly, and nothing is hidden. I would not hesitate to come down and buy another truck from Davey's.

Found a piece missing on my 91 YJ that was preventing one of my gauges from working...searched high and low for a replacement (it's seriously like a $.50 part to make I'm sure) but it had long since been discontinued and apparently no aftermarket companies ever decided to produce it.Hit Davey's up on Sunday and Davey said he'd check his stuff on Monday. Figured I'd have to shoot him a reminder Monday but first thing Monday I got an email that he'd checked and had some available. I had him send me two and he shipped them out within an hour or two of me sending payment. I will definitely be a return customer as my Jeep project moves along.

Read about Daveys Jeeps on the Jeep forums and everyone had good things to say about them. A few days ago, I ordered several small hardtop parts that have gone missing or become unserviceable over the years. Daveys folks were friendly and helpful when I called and I received my parts just a few days later by Priority Mail. I am very happy with the customer service, the quality and condition of the parts I received, and the very quick shipping. I won't hesitate to order from Daveys Jeeps again. Great experience!
