DONT FALL FOR THE THEIR SCAM. They advertise their junk as low mileage, well maintained, and tested. When my 1200 dollar low-mile, tested transmission showed up with no second gear, I had to pay 700 dollars for the mechanic to pull and replace it (on top of the expected 700 dollar labor charge). I called them to ask how this happened and THEN they admitted that they have no quality control whatsoever on transmissions (other than maybe making sure it's not broken in half when it comes off the boat?) and they make zero guarantees that the transmission will be functional in any way shape or form when you receive it. Classic bait and switch. I told them I thought a discount on my transmissiom would be fair since they sold it to me under false pretense (that it went through quality testing as per their website) and they didn't so much as offer me a 5 percent discount. Never again. Better luck getting a fair deal at a junkyard.

We had 3 motors through this company. The first 0motor had a bad rod. We caught it before putting it in our car. They warrantied the motor gave us another one. The 2nd motor blew up driving down the road we only had 400 miles on it. They warrantied the 2nd motor. We got the 3rd motor we only put 8,000 miles on it before it blew up putting 2 big holes in the block. It was a few months outside of the warranty. We decided we won't be back the motors are not gone thru they are all junk. We decided to rebuild our ej255 and put that in it's running awesome. I wouldn't buy another motor from this company. We had 3 motors from them all were bad. Only thing they were good about was their warranty. Motors should last longer than 8,000 miles ESP when they are well maintained.

Was treated pretty rudely on the phone because I didn't know that the installation instructions are supposed to be reverse engineered from the warranty info **which is stapled to the back of the packing list and inconsistent depending where you read.** There are no installation instructions or notes about modifications they do to Japanese engines, and the warranty info stapled to the back of the invoice is different from the warranty info on the invoice, and inconsistent within itself. There is nothing in the warranty that actually ever says that you need to replace the oil pan.Not a big deal, but the condescending tutorial on how to read warranty information was unnecessary.

Phew, where to start?Before reading, understand that I am a very patient man and very kind to everyone I meet. I treated them as politely as I would to anyone else. I spent almost a week reaching out TO THEM. Most people would have lost it at this point.But I am still trying. As a whole, the engine cost me $970(850 I believe for the engine and the rest for shipping expenses) to get it here to Idaho Falls.I called before ordering an engine to ensure the one that I intended on buying would fit. I asked many a question to make sure, from the mounts to the bell housing bolt holes etc. They even mentioned it would come with a back plate to block off the fuel pump as it would be a different fuel system being that my original engine was fuel injected and the new one had a carburetor.Well, the engine came. It doesn't line up with anything.Everything that I asked about before ordering? Yup, that was all out of line. The bolt holes are an extra 3/4 inch difference between the transmissions, mounts are also different. The plate? Yeah, didn't come with one. This thing won't fit.So I got the engine Tuesday.I called them with this issue(11:50 am) on Wednesday. They said they'd call me back. No call back.I call them Thursday, the man who first answered(I remember both of their names but do not disclosed so as to avoid embarrassing them) was the one I had been talking to about the questions before ordering. He referred me to the guy that I talked to the day before and said that I could talk to him because he wasn't doing anything at the time. This speaker from Wednesday said to email him pictures of the engine and information. I did that.Friday, they still didn't call me back. Around 3:45 I called just to make sure they had enough time to look at my email. I asked for the man I emailed the pictures to. He responded that he didn't have time to look at the email yet and that a new shipment was about to come in. He promised to call me back in a few minutes. There was no call.I called them Saturday, I waited a long while and noone picked up the phone. I was pretty stoked at this point......I'd give my experience "0"-stars if I could. But I had to do atleast one. I'll keep calling, but we'll see.

Money in hand and would not sell me the motor

I have purchased a Subaru motor and a transmission for both daughters cars here and Sean is the best! No complaints about service or product at all, highly recommend!

Service was not great. People on the phone either just doesn't want to answer your questions if its not a sale related question it seems..
