Have old tire rims, dont know what to do with? How about a pickup truck full of beer cans after last weekends tailgate? Or an old grill sitting next to your new one and you thought to yourself "how can I bring the redneck factor down?" This is the place you need to know about that you never knew was there. This place is great. The people here are great. They work hard. Do a good job. And you may just get paid for bringing them metal! And don't ya know? You will have performed that Green activity everyone is yammering about.

I have gone to Northern Metal a few times and because of the reviews, decided to check out Gerdau. They lived up to the high rating. They were very friendly, helpful and even though I have no idea what I am doing as far as recycling, they made me feel like they were interested in my business. I also only had a pickup full of scrap and some electrical wiring and didn't have to drive out to the yard...they have a spot to dump into containers for smaller loads. I was always concerned about driving over nails at Northern. I would definitely recommend Gerdau.

The prices they pay are very low and you will walk out with a check half the size you think it would be. I have brought a truck load full of metal, aluminum, motors, copper, you name it, and I walked away with just a $30 check. The employees are very hard to deal with as well. Many are grumpy, and are not very clear on directions. The entire place is dirty and the atmosphere just feels like everybody is in a rush.

Friendly employees, clean shop and office, they paied cash for my aluminum and light scrap metal!

Amazing place, amazing people! Fair people fair price! I got top dollar for everything I have taken in. Yes one day may be more or less then the other day, but I have learned that scrap prices change daily...

Be careful if you take things here to recycle. Took my cat converter in and they told me I was wrong about it and inly gave me 16 dollars. Turns out THEY were wrong and I should have gotten about 130. My fault for believing that they weren't trying to cheat me.

Gerdau is the only place that I take my scrap. I always enjoy interacting in visiting with the employees there during my visits. Very friendly and respectful.
