Went here to recycle yesterday for the first time. Smiling, friendly employee with great customer service. Couldn't be happier!!Note to the reviewers that weren't pleased with the amount they were offered or received ~ you could always go somewhere else and pay someone else to take whatever you have off your hands! I don't see what the problem could be with any amount of money you receive for something that you obviously no longer need, let alone something that can be recycled and reused! Move somewhere else if you want to be paid more for your trash!!! :)

Employee was very helpful even though it was raining

They advertise that they take glass bottles on the website and facebook page. When I arrived there after driving a long distance to recycle my glass bottles and other items, I was told that they don't take glass. They also wouldn't take a couple other things that they clearly said they would take on their website. I thought maybe the employee was misinformed or possibly lying in order to get out of the extra work load. Concerned, I notified them on their facebook about my experience and told them that they should probably either update their website if it was falsely advertised or consult their employee for not doing their job properly.To my shock, the business owner messaged me this;" Tanyajo Nolan- Our Facebook page was made awhile ago by the previous Secretary. My employees are NOT lazy and do an AMAZING job! This is proven by the fact you're the ONLY complaint we have had. Get your facts straight!"Never did I once state that her employees were "lazy" or inadequate. I'm absolutely appalled that a business owner would talk to a customer in this way. Especially when I was bringing a very important and relevant issue to their attention. I apologized to the employees if I insulted them based on the owner's mistake.Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with such a disrespectful and rude business. There are plenty of other recycle businesses in Carson City that are far more pleasant and where you can recycle more than what they do.

Felt like i was taken advantage of. I had 2,000 pounds of steel and aluminum and he kept telling me he didnt know what to do with it. I told him i woulf take it to the dump and then he said he would take it. Scammers didn't want to weigh it. No competition equals this kind of business. Don't waste your time or fuel.

First of all, I am the owner of Greener World Recycling:Generally in the recycling business the person bringing the scrap is expected to separate the materials before arrival on site.Most businesses will send you to the dump or only take mixed materials as the cheaper of the materials. Separation may or may not occur.At this post, I receive $40/ton for Tin Steel I accept this material free of charge. This is a money loser in my labor just handling it. This winter it was $25/ton, I was forced to refuse this material.Any mixed load must be evaluated for possible profit. That is right, possible profit if I must pay to have it separated (my labor). If the mixed load is mostly Tin Steel I will not weigh it as this is more of my labor, nor will I pay for it (See $40/ton above or worse earlier 2016).I have seen more than one individual become angry because of this.PLEASE NOTE:I DO NOT CONTROL THE FACEBOOK PAGE. I am told that it has not been updated in years. My request to take down the page has been igonred.THERE IS NO WEBSITE THAT I KNOW OF. I am hoping to have one up in about September 2016. Any prices on the internet are usually the national averages for large quantities.

I took exactly the same type & amount of metal to 2 places. This place of one of them. One place gave me $3.00 and the other gave me $24.00. So, if you're recycling just for fun, this place is perfect.
