Previously, I had another company come pick up a sofa for me and it was not a good experience at all. Not only did they arrive an hour and a half after the scheduled time...the driver showed up alone without an assistant and I ended up having to help haul out my own sofa. I am VERY satisfied with Junk Boss. We had a miscellaneous collection of scrap lumber, discarded household items, and old fencing. Scheduling the pickup was very simple. The office person clearly explained the service and pricing, and set an appointment. She called to let me know that the workers would be a few minutes late. When they arrived, they were courteous and professional. They worked very quickly, and offered me the choice of paying by check or credit card. Rented a 6 yard dumpster from them and they were excellent. Brought the dumpster when they said they would. The 6 yard is the size of a small compact car. The driver was able to expertly maneuver it was to the back of my driveway out of sight of the road so my HOA wouldn't even know it was there. We filled a 6 yard fairly quick so I recommend going slightly bigger if you have much junk. I was then able to fill it at my leisure and call them to come get it when I was done. A friend recommended this company saying they paid $100 to remove items from their house before a move. We called and were told pricing begins at $150 and to call back Monday. We had one mattress to dispose and they changed their pricing to $200-$230. Again, our friends just used this company to dispose of the same item plus more and paid $100 and we were told a day ago pricing started at $150. I can rent a dumpster for $230. Any company that significantly changes pricing like that is shady.
