Totally tried taking advantage of an out of town guest. Only would offer help if I let him look at it for 95 an hour and all I needed was a code red. Get fuel down the road or if you need work done, get it towed somewhere else

Had an unfortunate break down when we got to McCall from Boise. And as it was after 5pm on a Sunday there was nothing open and no one that could really help us. Luckily the cashier of Chevron came out, had a look at it, then recommended we leave it there for the mechanics the next morning. They looked at it straight away, but unfortunately the problem was bigger than we thought and required a new radiator. So they quoted us a very decent price to order one and get it fitted. After receiving the new radiator they fitted it straight away. After that they spent two more hours free of charge to diagnose a temp sensor problem. Turned out it was a temp sensor and we went on our way.We really appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff and mechanics were when we were stressing out. And the extra mile the mechanics went to make sure we got safely back to Boise when they had other cars to do. Cars going strong. Thanks again guys!!

Got a flat Labor Day weekend, brought our car in Monday morning, it was fixed by 10:30 for only $30. We were quite impressed considering this is the only place in town that seemed to be open to walk ins & fixed it so promptly for such a good price.

I've been in town several times when I need to have service on my truck. The mechanics are very honest, and the price is fair. Most important, they get my truck in and out faster than any other shop I've ever been to.

When u need services done in a small MTN towns like McCall you're going to sacrifice modern business practices like ROI & guest satisfaction services because small town operators tend to implement immediate gratification measures(profit) and rarely explore long-term residual income (repeat customers).Which was on full display today when I simply asked if they had a code reader for vehicle.1st this 2 Bay auto repair shop/gas station doesn't even have a cheap inexpensive door chime to let their employees know a customer is waiting to give them money.2nd when the cashier finally decides it's time to get some1 they'll come back with a greedy condescending individual who will take offense when you don't want to pay an hourly shop wage of $14,400 per hour.Something I quickly calculated because I run my own 5 star auto repair shop back in Minnesota. Instead of just ending the transaction at, "I don't want to pay $20 for a 5 second job," this 2nd grade drop out decided option " A" was to follow me out to my car in an attempt to goat me into a fight as he whined about not wasting his time and needing to get paid for his efforts.Sound logic, but poor practice! By all means you need to get paid for your time, but not $14,000+ an hour. At $20/5seconds=$240 a minute or $240*60=$14,400 an hour for a task that requires no inventory and 5 seconds of labor to get a 4 digit code off a screen.People are tired of getting nickel and dimed to death by companies because they have no concept of return on investment. In this case you declared war over 5 seconds of your time for a measly $20. Instead of free code reading ,something that millions of shops n parts stores offer regularly around the country, in hopes that that walk-in off the street inquiry turns into a repeat customer for all their automotive needs.Congratulations you didn't loose $20 of your inflated value, but you also didn't set yourself up for $X,XXX.XX of future paychecks. All you had to do was stand by your rates, and not berate a customer in the middle of the parking lot because they don't agree with your value of the service requested. How do you think condescending justification is ever going to end in a positive?? This individual created this entire situation from inquiry to exit because instead of thinking about guest satisfaction or customer service the only thought process...... was bank account balance!!!!!

I lost a low beam headlight while visiting Mccall. I stopped her in the morning and was told they were busy but could offer me a 2:30pm appointment. I showed up 15 minutes early. 10 minutes after my appointment time, I was rudely told sorry, we can’t help you now for at least a half hour.

I've taken vehicles here twice for unexpected service needs while visiting town. Both times, they have been excellent at getting us in and completing the service quickly and at a reasonable price.
