Made me feel like I was wasting their time. They couldn't be bothered to let me sort a few pieces of aluminum from the steel. I had to go completely on faith of the weight of metal I brought. Feel like I've been scammed.

We had quite a bit of lead to sell, and chose to go with an independently owned, family run outfit. That kind of thing is important to us.Had a wonderful experience; June, Laurie, and the forklift operator were great. My gut feeling is that perhaps some of the bad reviewers already had a chip on their shoulder. The folks at Metal Commodities were quick to respond in kind to a friendly hello and warm smile. We had a great experience, supported a local business, and got a very good price for the lead. Thank you especially to June for accommodating us.

Very friendly staff, especially the lady I've seen a few times working in the scale room. Prices may not be the best but it's very convenient off Old Baptist Rd.People are right that the lot is a bit small, so drive carefully and sometimes you have to work as a team with the employees and other drivers to get all the cars in... Its all about your attitude towards the task. The private sector deals with scrap metal more efficiently than the public sector and keeps dollars local, so it's worth the effort.I found the most beautiful brass bird statues in the scale room and one time they were selling duck eggs, which was a pleasant and tasty surprise. I got a bit of money back from clearing out an old house, without the hassle of driving all over the state for an extra five bucks with the relatively small stuff I had to junk. Always pleased with my experience.

Do yourself a favor and drive the next town over.The lot is small and crowded, it's hard enough to back a truck in, nevermind a trailer.Antiquated scale, purchases are tallied on a notebook, in pencil, and you don't get a receipt.They offer the worst prices in the state, but with their sketchy buying processes, not only do you get ripped off... they provide the EXPERIENCE of being ripped off, the whole time they tally your haul on that calculator.The cost in gas to drive somewhere more reputable will be made up for in the value of your metal, and lack of a headache afterward.Only reason I didn't give one star is because I managed to pull out of the lot without a nail in my tire.

because this place was the closest I decided to give it a try today (despite being by far the lowest price option of 5 scrap metal places I called). whoever answered the phone seemed friendly and helpful, but on arrival it became obvious all the negative reviews were accurate. two people ahead of me got paid but when it was my turn all of a sudden everyone "was on break for the next while". I offered to unload my metal while they were on break and was told to sit in my car. they refused to tell me when someone would be around to help and things got weird. after 10 minutes I left. don't waste your time - head to J&S instead

Worst service and pricing in the state. They take your metal, and barely give you enough money to drive back home. The are too many competitors to warrant such exorbitant prices.The only way to walk out with substantial cash is to sell your vehicle for scrap and literally walk out.
