My driver-side hubcap mysteriously disappeared, so I called and received a pleasant phone experience. Once I got there, the lady at the front window was pleasant, very helpful, and professional. The nice male from the back assisted me, he was also pleasant, professional, and got me my replacement hubcap. He even went above and beyond to give me a tool to assist in me screwing the lug caps that holds the hubcaps in, so that I didn’t have to purchase a new one… Overall, thank you both! I had an awesome experience!

Great new management! The new owners are very nice and the prices are very affordable! All the parts I have gotten have been in great condition. $20 for a new tire and $8 to mount you can't beat that! I just met the owner Nick today and he was very nice and knowledgeable. And the employees are great!! I highly recommend using this Salvage yard for your car parts!

Quick and easy! Called to turn in a car and they picked it up within a couple days. They were really nice over the phone and the gentlemen that came to the house was even friendlier. As for the process of turning in a car, it's the easiest part. Just have your title ready and they take care of the rest. I would highly recommend based off my experience.

Rip us off, my truck is useless. They gave me the wrong trans. Then asked for the old one, so they could compare them so they could make things right. We they can’t find my original transmission and they don’t have a trans for me. So now we’re screwed. After fighting with them going there every 3 day for 6 weeks wasting gas, time, my sanity. What are you suppose to do? Then on top it off it sat at a mechanics for the 6 weeks and he wanted something, so we’re out thousands. I guess that’s how they stay in business by ripping people off. Wish I would’ve read the reviews first. I know family that uses this place all the time never had a problem for years. But I guess it’s changed a lot and they just don’t care about people 🤬

I went there for a new car. Test drove it, seemed fine. Went from the lot to purchase a new battery for the car and it started to overheat. Not even ten miles later. Went back, they said that everything was fine and wouldn’t do anything about it. Some other customer looked at it and noticed a radiator fan wasn’t working. After arguing and pleading, they gave me a replacement fan but wouldn’t install it — they claimed the temperature gauge was wrong. Lo and behold, the car overheated on my drive home. I was told everything works fine except needs new brakes and tires. They knew what they were lying about and hide behind as-is laws. I would NOT recommend at all, and I wish I wasn’t so desperate as to go there. I will never go back! I’m now out $700 and have a car that I’m HOPING will last a few months after I put in another few hundred in repairs.

AVOID AT ALL COST I gave these guys money to give me a 2002 Avalanche Transmission. They gave me the wrong transmission. Then I asked if they can give me the right one they said they won't have it until the end of the week. Then they said they have it and they just have to take the part off the car. 3 whole days go by and they still didn't take it off. Sounds fishy, right? Then the employees don't know the contact to the owner. They told me they can't give me a refund until the owner approved it. It's been two whole weeks. You still think that refund is coming? I'm getting my lawyers ready as we speak.

The worst place ever! Doesn't even deserve one star! This place is full of scammers! The minute you walk by the door and give them your money it's done! You won't get anything in return and the only way to get your money back will be by court! And even that is nothing new to them! These people were suited so many times that they know them by name in court already! I have no idea how these people stay in business and how they sleep at night! Front desk lady is rude, rude and nothing but rude! Owner is nothing but crook! Please save yourself nerves and go anywhere else! Anything will be better then this place and these people!

Wish i could give this place NO stars. Worst place i ever dealt with, the older women there is rude. Gave me the wrong transmission, they did exchange it for the correct one. They guaranteed transmission worked and was in a running/moving car, finally get it in my vehicle and the trans ONLY HAD REVERSE! Call back and they tell me there's nothing they can do, then proceeded to hang up on my brother and myself. NEVER will go back to this place. Out of $400 and a car because they can't do their job right.

They offered to exchange the motor; but, after reading the reviews, I figured it would be more of a hassle and they would just screw us over again. They suck! Just read all the other bad reviews. They claimed to have my exact engine soon and that was over 6 months ago, I have been catching rides to work for 6 months and now im stuck with them selling me dreams. My first review but I couldn't go without saying how shady this place is. GO ELSEWHERE!! THERE IS ANOTHER PARTS PLACE JUST DOWN THE ROAD! USE IT! I went to discount auto and got a strut that I specifically asked for a passenger front side. It even said it on the receipt! But they gave me the driver side and when I went back they refused to swap it for the right one! No refunds or exchanges she said. Even though she was the same person that gave me the wrong part! What a joke. You read it, all the stories are true, this place is a joke.

I recently had to buy a transmission for my 96 cutlas. The guy at the front desk was very knowledgeable, as was the lady who also assisted. Very happy to say the trans thus far is working fine! All questions were answered. Id go back to discount for parts in a heartbeat. Great service-even the yard guys were helpful.

These people took awesome care of me!! Factory stereo with CD player $10 When everywhere else was $70. Headlight assembly was cheaper than anyone else and my radiator core support was half the price if anywhere else. Worth the drive!!

Horrible. I came all the way from Detroit. Told them I needed a tire and rim. Called again when I was on my way n she assured me that it was okay. Got there and the tire wasn't pressed. N she told me I can buy them separately and press it later. Used to be a good junk yard. Last 3 times I used this place has been a run around. Only takes 2 to 4 minutes to press a tire. Absolutely absurd

Place is under new owners. I called asked if they had a window for my truck and they did. Walked in asked for it that said 10–15 min and it will be pulled. Not even 5 minutes later it was at the counter with all the bolts to put it in. Definitely going back because they are really under new owners.

It's sad when you purchase a engine from a business that reassures you 3 time before purchasing it. Thay everything is fine, get it to the mechanic he said it looks like it been in a wreck. He would have to rebuild it and it would cost less just to purchase another engine.They did absolutely nothing under their so called warranty. No exchange, no store credit, no refund, no anything just out of $600 plus the labor for the work the mechanic did.

There’s a reason they changed their name from discount auto salvage to “ friendly auto salvage” . All the five star reviews are bs, there’s a reason why there’s five star reviews and one star. The one star reviews are legit, do some research on this place before you spend your hard earned money with these crooks.

I gave them the year model and trans model no. and they sold me the wrong transmission, they had to have the old trans to match it with brought the old one back they didn't have any removed and would have to remove one. it had 20,000 more miles on it than the one that i bought and they would call me when the get it removed. no refunds or credit for other parts. they cant even give you a vin# so you can check the parts your self. this place is a rip off . i would give them no stars but it won't let me. stay away

This place is a total scam, should have read these reviews first. First off these people are disgusting human beings. They are rude and have no manners. They are incompetent when it comes to automotive knowledge. I would bet not a single one of them have automotive repair experience. The first motor I received was bad, looks like metal came through the intake and chewed up a piston and cylinder wall. The next motor they gave me was wrong. It was set up for EGR when the one I needed didn't. Then for the 3 weeks following this I go up there every couple days, because they don't call like they say they will, every time I go they tell me a few days. So here I am, over a months later, bought the engine I needed somewhere else, sold the vehicle I needed it for and they still haven't done anything for me. I politely asked for my cash back. I filed a small claim against them and have court on 10-14-2016. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE

Larry (the owner) used to come into the Sorrento's pizza I managed. He convinced me to buy parts from him at his old location (he moved from Detroit since if that gives you an idea of his shady ways). Years later I am a mechanic an started going to discount in Mt Clemens and have only had wrong part after wrong part. The horrible and careless staff time after time tell you they have the correct part and make you pay before they bring it up, only to find when I get back to the shop it is broken or just a similar part that will not fit or work. I have given Larry multiple chances to simply provide the service I paid for and he just can't deliver. After 20 + bad transactions I have only had one part that worked, and I still had to go back three times to get the right one. It's a scam... Once they sell you the wrong part... You can only get store credit and then you want to use it to get your money back. But wait... "The right part is more money". Then your credit grows and you still only have wrong parts... I have over a $1200 credit built up there and will never see the money back ever. It's all lies, leading on, bait and switch and a scams. Only cash transactions leave you without the protection of using a credit card and unable to protest the transaction. You see it's all planned out. Larry, i don't know how you sleep at night? Maybe the Sorrento's ribs make you forget you are a crook, con and a schister... I'm serious..... Find God or something, whatever it takes.

I cannot give one start to these people. Honestly I would rather walk then ever do business with this company again. I'm buying the rear end for my truck which is effectively the entire rear axle. They say they'll deliver 1 mile away from me. Guess what, they deliver the WRONG part. I must have spoken to 4 different people over the course of about an hour and finally hung up when the explained, for the 10th time, they will not pick up the wrong part they delivered and bring the correct one. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Now this is a pretty big part, so I literally rented a uhaul, my truck is on a hoist, drive across town on lunch, take them the new part, argue with the guys WHY it was the wrong one as he could only scratch his head and say this should work. I tried to show him pictures of the correct one which he barely glanced at. They do not do cash back only exchanges and now after 3 days, the say bring the old one up or bring pictures. UUUGHHH. They have now refused to take the correct one to them! While I was in there I over heard 3 other people going through pretty much the same thing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS YARD AS THE PART U BUY MAY NOT FIT OR EVEN WORK- You've been warned lol So you know I'm very easy going and asked nothing unreasonable.

I had called 6 other scrap yards for a 1992 Mercury Cougar part. Not only did these guys have me text them a photo to match it, but they also found it for me! I'm quite satisfied.

The first time I called they said they had the part I went there they told me to come back the next day cause it was to hard to get to so I did they said I'm going to have to wait another day so I called and the 3rd day they said yes the part is off come get it so when I got there they said it wasn't off yet it took longer then a week for them after calling mutiple times a day to get it alot of my time and gas wasted. my 2nd time I bought a strut for $25 thinking it was the right one for my car I didn't have time to do it untill the next week after I got my old strut off and find out it was the wrong one and they refuse to trade or refund me my money they guy there doesn't know nothing about cars I'd rather go to a pick and pull where I do it myself that guys an idiot I hope they go out of buissness! all these people and tons more they ripped off 🖕 learn from others mistakes

If there was a way I could give them no stars I would! I came in for a part they had. I spent 100 dollars two 5 mintues after I buy the part they tell me they can’t give me the until they have my off of my car. Wait what I already paid for the part you should have told me that before I paid for it. Then they say they can bring the part to my mechanic once I have the part off I say okay that’s fine. Now the part of off my car and it’s to late they don’t do deliveries at 4pm I say okay sir well is there a way I could leave a deposit an bring the part back tomorrow to ensure you will have the part back they say NO WE CANT DO THAT so I’m like okay well can I have my 100 dollars back because I paid for the part and no where on my way receipt does it say I have to have my part off before I buy the part. Nope no refunds sorry there’s nothing I can do unless u bring me the part on your car I’m going to keep your 100 dollars and if you don’t bring me your part that’s on you. I hung up and called my lawyer who I just had lunch with earlier today. DONT GO HERE AN IF YOU DO WAIT UNTIL YOUR PARTS ARE VISBLE AND IN YOUR HAND BEFORE YOU PAY ANYTHING BRING YOUR MECHANIC WITH YOU IF YOU MUST GO HERE

I bought an engine from them back in March. Since the weather just recently broke, I had the motor put in last week. Then 2 days later as I'm driving on the freeway with my 5 kids 100 miles away from home- BOOM! The engine goes out. I call up there to see what can be done and all the lady said was it was only a 1 month warranty and it's not her fault and they won't do anything. $500 for a P.O.S motor that they didn't check before selling it on top of the cost of me paying for labor now I'm out of almost $2000 and they wont do anything??? I would never recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste yoir time or money. This place is a Scheme.
