If I could offer zero stars, I would. We were contracted for weekly residential service for which we pay ahead of time. There have been several times when pick ups did not take place as scheduled. Last week and this week, our scheduled pick up did not take place. I called the office today and spoke with the manager, Jamie. She had no reason why our pick up did not take place. She surmised that the driver “may have been on vacation.” She said they would send a driver to pick up today, but we now have a backup of garbage due to the holiday and the missed pickup. When I asked if we could receive a credit for the service that was paid for and not received last week I was told that they would not offer a refund and that it was our fault for not calling them to tell them that the scheduled and paid for service had not been completed. I have canceled our contact with this company as they are unreliable and unprofessional.

I put my garbage on the curb on Sunday. They didn't take my garbage on Monday. Called on Tuesday, they said they didn't believe me and won't come to pickup my garbage. Terrible service. They basically said "the driver said he picked it up". Well I'm staring at it right now, and they are refusing to do anything about it. And I live right down the road from their office. We've been using Prairieland Disposal for over 7 years now and have always been extremely pleased with their services. I just almost accidentally read the reviews and was honestly quite baffled by them. Not saying they aren't accurate, but maybe we are just lucky with whoever collects our trash. They are absolutely reliable, always on time, they leave the garbage cans exactly in the same position as to where I left them for pick-up, they have picked up extra big boxes that wouldn't fit in the garbage can without any problems, and our prices haven't gone up in years. We get email notifications if the pick-up day changes or when a payment gets declined (say if credit card expired). Not getting paid for writing any of this, it's just our honest experience with this company.

When moving in or out of the Lake Zurich area, be advised that Prairieland Disposal will not pro rate their payments, and billing is done for a 3 month period. So, if you don't plan to cancel your service at least 45 days prior to moving day, you'll be paying for the entire 3 months. Seems like they are then getting paid from both new owner/old owner for the same month. I was a little upset about this double payment practice when I recently moved.

Continued to forget picking up our weekly totes even after calling them each week to remind them. Additionally, one of the customer service reps was totally unprofessional. Without a doubt the worst service ever. Whoever chose this company to service Crystal lake should be look for a new job. Thankfully they were recently bought out!

We use them for garbage disposal because we have no choice. End of summer, I put two hanging plants next to the can because they wouldn't fit inside and came home to find them still sitting there despite the can being empty. They are supposed to pick up one bulk item every week, if they thought disposing of two ten lb. plants was too much for them, they should have at least taken one of them. Lazy and unprofessional.

Garbage disposal day was yesterday. They never showed up. I called and was told if they didn't pickup by end of day, they would be here the next day. It is now 3:30 pm and they still haven't shown up. Time to get Wauconda to switch back to Waste Management. At least they show up!

Just moved to Cary and have no choice but to use this service. Today is the second time they threw my garbage can in my yard. If you aren't going to take it fine, but leave it where it was and dont throw it ten feet into my yard. Getting really fed up with their poor service. Hire some new drivers that don't just throw cans around.

Today,1/11/22, the driver lost control of our recycle bin and it dumped in front of our driveway. He cleaned up the big stuff but there was glass everywhere when I went out to observe. The company’s response was we’ll talk to the driver. Seriously!!! This company does not care about the customer!!! Service: House & garage cleanouts

A trash service for weekly trash pickup..... Oscar the grouch would be more pleasant.Drivers & crew won’t lift a finger for pickup some weeks - instead they will leave threatening notes posted on cans & receptacles if they arbitrarily think it’s too heavy or they’re too lazy to dispose it that day.Perhaps dispatching motivated and positive attitude crew would tremendously improve the reviews and customer service experience.
