We were so impressed with Ben! He was a consummate professional, courteous, definitely was an expert at his job. I don’t know how he was able to avoid breaking our low hanging Maple Tree limb off because of how the Jeep was positioned, but he maneuvered it perfectly and kept our tree in tact. I’d highly recommend Ben for any job! Thank you!!!!!

Huge selection and just fine prices on grabs. Was able to fix up my 95 Ranger/Mazda B2300 for less than $100 making it look near stock. Edit: make sure you go after some dry days. Stepped in almost a foot of mud and ruined some work shoes lol.

I called ahead of time and they said they could give me $500 for my car, upon arriving I received a check for $460 and was told “we changed our mind”. Management is rude as well

I first contacted Route 14 Auto Parts in search of a rear glass for my older model Honda CRV. I was very lucky that they had one in stock. They pulled the window for me and were able to schedule me for an installation the same week. The installer did a great job with the installation and gave me great directions on how to care for it for the first 24 hours to ensure that it sets in place. Highly recommended. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff!

Be ready to sink 'knee deep' into a sea of mud that is boosted by petrochemicals and junkyard soil. It's almost always muddy here, except in dry season, or when covered by snow. Look at the prior reviews. I wish they invested a little bit in graveling or blacktopping this place. Lacks organization. Good selection of used car parts with reasonable prices though. Wanted to edit this review since I believe that I was bit harsh and joked about something that does not stand. Everything else being said is true and based on my personal experience with this outfit.

Called and was told the vehicle I needed a part from was there. Drive an hour and get told what section it's in, can't find the vehicle, go back to the front desk. Told it could be in a few other sections, check them and recheck the original section. Back to the front desk, no color, no help from people standing up there, just told it out there somewhere. Go to look again and then tell the front desk it's not out there. They shrug, say it should be and they don't know where it is. Fine, thanks sarcastically, I don't need to do business with you. Time to drive home, you were a waste of time and resources. Never even laid eyes on the car....

Totally Awesome. Best pick your own part place I have been to in Illinois. People was cool. Lots of cars and trucks. I had a blast even in 10° weather and everything covered in snow. At least I didn't have to slide in the mud.. hahahaha

Their customer service is awesome, The redhead girl was very friendly and professional. I needed some parts for my car, some I know how to take off and some I didn't. It's great that they give you the option to get the parts yourself or have them taken off for you. They had my parts ready really quickly and the pricing was really affordable. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

My experience with Route 14 was very pleasant and without any issues. I spoke with Jim over the phone and he explained the entire process for junking my car. He gave me a window on when a tow truck would arrive to my place to pick up the vehicle and helped answer any question I had. I would definitely give my business with Route 14 again and definitely would recommend them. Thank you!

I recently picked up a used work truck. The radio was missing from the truck when I got it. I decided to pick up a used one and went to Rt 14. I was directed to the correct area by Troy at the counter. I got my radio easily so I decided while I was there to get another radio for my other car. When I got to the counter Kristin wrote up my order. I was pleasantly surprised by the great prices and service! These people are top notch! Knowledgeable and friendly! The coolest thing is you can still pull the parts yourself old school style! Give them a try you won't regret it!

They crushed a gorgeous classic car, that so many people on this Facebook group wanted parts from it. And they only allowed some of the easy-money parts get taken, but we are all sad that they did not sell all the parts before crushing it. I was willing to drive 17 hours to get parts. They don’t accept payments over the phone. I wanted to pay before I drove the 17 hours they literally don’t give a damn. They want the easy-money. They said they would take pictures of some parts for us and they never did. They don’t give collectors an opportunity to save classic cars, they destroy history! So sad.

I purchased a transfer case for my 2010 Ford escape. The first one I purchased did not work but Jacob had informed me that I would be able to return it. They replaced it immediately. The part cost $150; due to Covid the part was costing me $2600 new. I am so thankful for this place and that I was able to get my car part so cheaply. Jacob was very professional and accommodating.

I called Route 14 Auto Parts and they picked up my junk car the same day and paid well for it, even though it wasn't running at the time of pick up. It was beyond easy and the people I talked to were helpful and nice. Highly recommend!

Don't waste your time just call LKQ or Peddle these guys will try to rip you off.... quote me 630 in the computer then tells me to bring it in for 600... then keeps lowballing when you bring it in talking about its in bad condition.

These guys are the best. They are -constantly- getting more cars, there's always something new coming in. You know how you call some salvage yards and some gruff old guy grudgingly answers the phone and seems irritated that you want to ask a question? That's not this place. Everyone is super friendly and the prices are fair. NOTE TO PEOPLE COMING TO PULL YOUR OWN PARTS: Bring proper tools! Don't show up with a rusty butter knife hoping to remove an engine. Wear boots, it's muddy!

After trudging through the mud and not being able to find what I needed (even though when I called the guy told me I would) I went I and asked the guy behind the desk. After looking he said no, they don't have it. The lady then went wait a minute we just got that car in. They sent a guy out to look and he brought in the item I needed. Been going to Rt 14 since the early 70's. They have never disappointed. And when I have a vehicle to junk they always come out promptly and are very courteous. Thanks Rt 14!!

I walk in searching for a part and they directed me to the row i could find the car. After searching I could not the car. I asked again, and they pointed me in another section. Again could not locate the car. After searching for a while I gave up. I'll never come back. I would have rather paid full price at advanced auto parts then waste my time with these folks again. No customer serviced what so ever. Also when I called the staff who answered assumed I knew how the place operated. This was my first and last time.

I needed parts that I couldn't find online or at local auto parts stores. Sent an email on the "contact us" of their website. I received a response in about 2 minutes. Let them know the parts I was looking for, they again responded immediately! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend to anyone that can get their own parts from vehicles to to there. Thanks to all of the WONDERFUL STAFF!

Been going there for 2 moths now and never had a bad experience. When you call them you feel welcomed which is not very common for junkyards. I drive a hour just to come here that’s how good it is. Ones again very respectful people!

I own a shop, and was going here because it was not crowded and i usually find what i need. They have just lost my business and trust because, the people at the desk claim they do not warranty parts like engine. So you are basically screwed if you install a bad engine. It is understandable, it is a junk yard but it does not mean you take advantage of loyal customers.

This would be a great place if they didn't takeout or damage the parts underneath the vehicle and if they would blacktop their yard. I don't know how many times I've needed a part where I had to walk all over in thick mud to finally find the vehicle and after getting it lifted up to see the part I needed was damaged or taken out by RT14. Transfer cases, fuel tanks, drive shafts, exhaust pipes and mufflers are usually removed or damaged so don't be disappointed if you get there looking for one of these parts and leave empty handed.

First time salvaging a vehicle and i gotta say i received great customer service from start to finish, AND they have the best prices around (I called EVERYWHERE) Brandy was great! When u walk thru the door u can see that everyone is hard at work and working as a team to make sure the job gets done right for the customer. There were a lot of people there which tells me they've done something right. People don't line up for bad service. Ive seen some bad reviews and all I can think of is that some people just like to complain about everything. Forget about it....these guys really are great. Thanks route 14, you're the best!

This is sure a story to read. I by chance stopped at a yard sale yesterday while taking a ride from wadsworth Ill to pick up my son from my Daughter and That's how this whole day began that i will never forget ;) John , Tom Ford and another gentleman 3 wise wise men sitting in a garage having a cold old-style can beer gave me a day i will forever remember . I got out the car and was thinking how am i stopping at a garage sale and my trunk doesn't even open and Mr Ford heard me and he said well go on up to Route 14 and see if they have one . I was like noooo but then that little voice you sometimes pay attention too says , "Listen " so i did just that as Mr John was reaching my son some fresh eggs and says yo him , " Just put them in the fridge till you get back " . I was like how does he know we will be back , buy he did and we didn't leave the eggs but they were still fine . Then we showed up at Route 14 were they had is in amd out the door with a brand new trunk and tail light whole assembly for 100 and the light 38 something like that , Thor brought it out to me great young man so kind amd calm and Jordan helped me at the desk and went back and checked . I'm trying to do 3 things at once like always and my son Johnny starts talking about how to run a business and I said , sit back and watch son . Them we stopped at the local gas station mini mart , I want to say it started with a A Johnny says mom they just left with out paying and they were both smiling at each other son , Thats how i told him it was dine back in the days when their was trust and kindness something I grew up on back in the South , I will close out with this yesterday is one day that meant so much to me for so many reasons not just because i got a whole trunk put on and taillight for less then 9 dollars plus buying it amd the part i was going to pay just to close it was 189 one small part just to close it when Jordan and Thor said , " Facts " they will know what it means . I want to say , "Thank you " from the bottom of my heart with tears rolling down my face . You have no clue how yesterday was such a day to remember
