We purchased a 2016 Mitsubishi lancer motor 90k miles used on 11-15-2024 from Speedy's auto salvage. The motor is in and runs flawlessly. This company is great to work with probably one of the best I've ever dealt with. We paid a few days ahead, informed them we would pick up the motor in a few days on Friday. They are fantastic as it was ready and waiting for us that day. They clean the motors, and all the open radiator connections were plugged off with a cap. I also manually turned the crankshaft over with a long socket wrench and it felt pretty smooth no issues. They loaded it onto my pickup and help us secure it down to get it back home. The mechanic we used was thoroughly impressed with the motor and condition when he saw it. He installed the motor with new hoses, serpentine belt, radiator, plugs, oil and etc! This engine runs beautifully and should last for at least 100,000 plus miles with regular maintenance. We can't thank Speedy's enough for a reliable motor, great price, and the customer service we received from them. We will if needed in the future use them again and highly recommend them to any and all our friends. Thanks again for a great experience your awesome! πΊπ²πππ

I had a bad experience with Speedys Used Parts.. I bought a transmission for a 2020 Ford Escape from the salesman Bill. The transmission was bad. I returned the transmission three days after the purchase and did not receive a refund. A lot of headache for nothing. Bill was very rude to me on the phone. I tried to speak to the manager Ben and the owner Chris, but I was unsuccessful. They did not call me back after waiting for a month. Be very careful before buying parts from them.

By far the easiest interaction with parts professionals I have had online and verbally on the phone. Ben was very informative and efficient! I have been in the auto industry for 28 years and I know great customer service when I see it. Thanks again, Speedys!!! I will definitely be returning!!

I needed a right-side bedside for my 2009 Toyota Tacoma, which had been damaged in a parking lot drive-off. There were none to be found in a timely manner. Both the manufacter and aftermarket vendors were backordered. My truck was torn down in a body shop and I was dead in the water. I located a very good used one online at Speedy's and ordered it through eBay. It was delivered at the body shop a day ahead of schedule. It was framed up so that it could not possibly be damaged in transit. Both my body man and I were very pleased and I had my truck back in a couple of workdays.

I ordered a Kia soul replacement rear window. The glass came perfectly wrapped, fully protected, and was very satisfied with the purchase and the price. Thanks to speedy Iβll be shopping his website again.

Starting to get overpriced. They were asking 150 for a part, that after calling around, was going for 50-60 dollars everywhere else. Two weeks earlier we had a similar experience on a separate vehicles bumper. Quality of the product was not the difference maker. No other extenuating circumstances.

I bought a steering column from Speedys. They had painted all the screws to change the steering coupler so you couldn't remove them without voiding the warranty. I put the column in to find out that the steering coupler needs to be changed. Now I have to pull it all back apart to change what would have been a 2 minute job on the bench. Also, when I do I'll void the warranty. THANKS SPEEDYS!!!!!

I have worked with them several times in my driving years and not only were they great to me(glad I was a patron and treated me as so) they worked quickly, efficiently and was able to find me parts for my cars that NOONE ELSE in Asheville could find or even point me in a general direction. This is the only place I use to service any of my card! 10 outta 10 highly recommend π

Great service and even more wonderful prices! Called the regular auto parts stores, AutoZone, Advanced Auto, etc and they wanted $240-300 for an alternator. Speedy's had it for $60 the same day!! Excellent deal!

I needed a 1998 Honda CRV alternator quickly!! I had been told it would be hard to find. I called Speedy's around 9 a.m. on Friday and was told there was ONE showing in the system. :) He asked me to hold for a minute while he went to the parts department to make sure it was there and had been tested. He brought it back to the customer service area and had it waiting for me when I arrived!! I was able to get it to the mechanics before they closed! Great Customer Service!! :)

These guys came highly recommended by a friend and he was right. I was a little skeptical at first, but once I saw the operation, I was impressed. Like a well oiled machine, they're slinging quality parts out the door. You can literally save hundreds of dollars buying low mileage used parts from here. I believe some even qualify for a 90 day warranty, so keep your receipts if they don't work perfectly.

PLEASE READ ALL FOR THE TRUTH!!! Do not deal with this bunch. We ordered a rear end for a Jeep. Pre-paid on Tuesday and waited for almost 2 weeks. Called and Chris told us that he had been out of the office and would have to check. Wherever they ordered it from had the wrong one. He called and said he would pick one up that day. Sounds good. We picked it up and took it to the mechanic. He opened it to put in the oil and it poured water and metal shavings. The gears were pitted and the pinion bearings wouldn't turn. Totally not going to put it on the Jeep. When we went back to request a refund with the receipt that says you have 30 days to return we were told no way. Chris was very smug and told us they didn't give refunds even if it is a damaged part. I read the other reviews and it is never his mistake or fault. I'm sure he will come up with something but truth is it's a sorry place and everyone needs to avoid them. Ok the only way to respond to the owners comments is to edit my original. My husband was not looking for another defective part he ask for a refund for a totally useless part. Yes he was mad and your Chris was rude and condescending. We just got ripped off for 400.00. If "good service" is what you are offering please credit my card and you will get the pile of junk you sold us back. Also what part of my story wasn't true or do you always cheat people and then call them liars. Oh yes you do just read the reviews.

I'm semi-new to the area (from ATL. lived in Asheville area '14-'17, before moving back to the A. Moved back to Asheville area two mos ago...YAYERRR!!), so I hadn't visited Speedy's prior to this visit (so far, my 1st & only visit, but def not the last!). Wasn't sure that to expect, seeing as it's a salvaged, used auto parts-type biz. Brakes on my new-to-me, used 2016 Kia Soul were dangerously bad. More specifically, bad master cylinder was to blame. Long story short (?? Lolol), came prepared w/ tools, fully expecting that I'd have to remove MC myself. As it turns out, all I needed to do was show up, let front desk guys know who I was & part request #, then go sit in my car until one of them poked their head outside & gave me the ok to go in...still wasn't aware that w/in that 10min time-frame, one of their guys had already removed the MC & brought it up front, ready to go! Just had to go inside & pay! Not only was it hundreds less than ANYWHERE else w/in a 300mi radius, new or used, the entire process was a literal breeze! In & out in 30mins! 'hardest' part was the 20min drive, which is PARADISE compared to Atlanta traffic! Lol Customer service is decent as well. π

Got a bad part but i did get a warranty so that was ok. Guy at service counter was a little irritated when i came 30 mins to closing but considering they weren't closed still did business with me. Probably won't use them again cause i really needed the help and just got the feeling they weren't the helpful type.

Rude, very disrespectful people will not go back

Great! Needed tail light assembly for 2011 Hyundai Vera Cruz; dealer said I was on my own, as Hyundai had none . Speedy seemed to have the only one available in the country. Got it to me quickly at a fair price. Thanks!

Unwilling to answer simple questions about parts. Very rude and condescending! Of course after forever and a day, they bring the part out and exactly what I was trying to ask is what's wrong with the part. Went to Johnson's down the road, part was ready in 10 minutes and cheaper. Save your time and $. Would give zero stars if it were an option. I keep hearing the name Chris in other bad reviews. Guessing he is the larger bald guy working the counter. That's who was extremely unhelpful and rude to me.

Called about getting a transmission for my car. The guy was nice and friendly. Told me they were behind on pulling parts. Ask for my name and number and said it would be about a week. Well the week is up but no one has called me back yet... Update: It has now been 16 days since I initially called. Still have not heard from Speedys. They should change there name to Grannys. I am going to LKQ tomorrow to get a transmission. I can't wait anymore.

Always call them first if I'm needing a part for my car. Reasonable prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend!

Have Ford dealerships statement saying transmission bad before installation.

Good parts place, just didn't have what I needed

Very dissapointed. We are a reputable shop. We always order things from out of state and never run into problems like this. Customer service was great before the part was purchased however when we recieved the part, they never told us how badly the condition was, like most places will do. And now we have to pay for the shipping and restocking fee to send it back?? VERY unprofessional and makes it seem like currency is the only thing they're willing to help for. There's more to life then money!!! I asked multiple times if the Cylinder head were in decent shape and all I got was a head thats been sitting outside in the sun for years. ASK FOR PICTURES!! Way to go guys! to reply to your reply: As a shop thats been in business for 30 years you should know it's not what we want at the end of the day its what the customer wants. So if our customers want to go the used heads route that's the route we will go, & since you have been in business for 30 years when a customer asks for pictures it should be given. Especially when the valve cover has been off for a year !!!

Wish I could give lower than a 1-star rating. Speedys sold a rebuilt engine to my mechanic that apparently hadn't been rebuilt all. It lasted only a few months before dying. I understand what a 30-day warranty means, but if you had more confidence in your work and were prepared to stand behind that work then a 6-month or 1-year warranty should be your standard. I would be very worried about spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on anything from Speedys, especially when they only stand by their work for 30 days.

Always the best place to get used parts at a great price and if they don't have it they'll source from other places until they do have the customer service is topnotch there's no slack when it comes to speedys used parts highly recommend!! Done!!
- MMeagan Barrett
You go in and tell them what you need, someone goes and pulls the part for you and then you pay for it. And go about your business! Wonderful customer service. A+ for the entire process. And they usually have hard to find parts at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend them to others.

I have a 2002 Toyota Rav4 and I needed a Heat/AC blower motor. I was referred to Speedys by a friend. I spoke with Chris and he set me up with the motor I needed and the price was soooooo good I drove almost 55 miles one way to get it! If you want good parts, good service and a friendly atmosphere, get your used parts from Speedys.
