3.3 stars based on 30 reviews- EEP Barnes
They don't answer the phone and nowhere has holiday hours and closed holidays. I live 3 hours away, it is a long drive just to find out they're closed or don't have the part I'm looking for. Why have a phone if you never answer? And it seems to be a repeating issue based on other reviews.
- KKeith Elkins
They will not answer the phone. I live a long way from the facility and do not want to drive down just to look. Sat on hold for about 45 minutes until they just hung up on me. Update: thank you for your timely response. I moved My review up for that. But, your inventory page is well done and it is pretty easy to find the inventory and you have a nice parts list. For other issues a call is necessary and my thought is that if you do not I tend to answer the phone then don’t put your phone number in the web page. I’ll see you soon for my next part.
- WWendy B. Rice
It would be nice to actually talk to a person on the phone to ask questions. They need to identify the color of their car body parts. It would have saved us a lot of travel time. A photo of the car with the part would be a great idea too.

I have been reading some of the negative reviews here and i have to say a majority of them are UNJUSTIFIED, 1 guy said he could wear crocks into the yard, well DUH! its a total safety hazard to wear crocks to a junk yard!! Another complained they had to pay $1 to get in and yes! its always been that way!! i have been going to tear a part in SLC for 16 years and it has always been $1 to get in! its more than fair!! Someone said they charge for trim by the inch, IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAY!! it even states it on the website!!! another stated that he got there within 30 minutes to closing and they turned him away, IT SAYS THIS ON THIER WEBSITE!!! As far as the staff goes i would agree with some of them, they kind of are all over the place and they definitely do need some customer service training, it took me way to long to get in when i was the only one in line and way to long to check out when i was the only one in line. The staff gets distracted talking to each other and just stops helping you. So Management Please Train Your Staff Better! As far as my experience here it was great! i went in just to browse and look and see if there was anything i wanted and they had my trunk and spoiler i have been looking for, for months!! i looked online for the prices before hand so i would not be shell shocked at the register and it matched up to what they sold it to me for! i paid for a trunk and a spoiler and was out the door! My only 2 issues were the staff was all over the place talking amongst themselves and not helping the customers or making them wait until they finished the conversations they were having. they do need more training for sure in customer service! The other issue i had was a car mislabeled, it was showing as a 2014 online and in the system but it was actually a 2003 not really sure how that happens but that needs to be addressed. other than that everything went great, the yard was clean and labeled properly. I will 100% be coming back to this yard!!

I pulled the motor intending on replacing it but decided to buy another vehicle, the motor is in back of the truck and the rest of the components are in the cab. I need it out of my driveway ASAP. Waiting on an offer ,,💰💵

The hours are garbage, really closing at 4:30 everyday, even Saturday?! Literally no other yard closes that early. And the skinny girl that's like a team lead for the front counter or something. She sucks, that girl gets a power trip from ruining people's day. They confiscated a part from me when I was walking in I forgot was in my bag, left it at the front counter to get when I came back out, forgot it and got kicked out cuz it was 4:30, walked up literally as she finished locking the door and she wouldn't let me back in to grab my part that was laying on the ground 5ft away, said I had to come back in the morning, I couldn't, and 3 days later they had already thrown it away. That's one of multiple bad interactions I've had with that girl
- TTaryn Cutler
Couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone after seeing they had two vehicles on the website of the make and model I needed. Just needed to find if they have a passenger mirror for me to take off them before making the trip. Waited 15mins being first in queue.
- JJason Sims
After pick up part told me that the parts I needed were in a premium yard, and I actually couldn’t even buy them because they were premium parts. I came here and got what I needed quickly and affordably. All of the staff were super helpful, friendly and nice
- SSkyler Westerman
One of the worst yards I've been every damn time I come here there is always an issue spend time removing a part guess what they can't sell it to you. Forgot a tool and want to run out real quick to grab guess again you cant. It's almost like they don't want to sell you their parts. Go to salt lake or any wrecking yard besides these guys. What a joke.
- AAlex C
They will elaborate a story saying that you aren’t allowed in their yard anymore and that they had to call the cops on you ( which never happened) with no evidence or proof of the incident on their end, yet, you aren’t welcome anymore. Got a friend that came with me and knows how everything went. Stay away from this business people or they’ll make a very harmful excuse to literally kick you out. If I could I’ll give them no stars. Horrible environment! They don’t care about your business at all! They even told me that I can write a negative review because they can care less about it.
- JJeremiah W Granolathug
The most expensive AND lack of proper training. If they give you a quote on a part have it printed out and signed because they will change the price at the register regardless of how long you spent in the yard disassembling and removing the item. They will charge you more than the average price you'd find anywhere like Amazon or ebay. (With free shipping) Save yourself the trouble and money and buy the parts new or somewhere else.
- AAllan Wagner
Well first off they don’t answer the phone BIG ISSUE So I drove down there to look for parts went inside and was told I had to sign in and pay just to go look for the parts??? Pay just to get in the yard😝 No need to worry I will NEVER go to this place again
- KKevin Pearson
Go here when needing a part or parts, always great service staff. Not one bad experience here. I've seen idiots causing a fuss and they calmly handled it. I've only had one car missing from an isle in 15 years. They took the Info and immediately dispatched a worker to fix it as I was there. Prices seem higher than the OLD days. Not sure what peoples expectations are? They always seem popular and busy. Thanks for a great inventory PS: The female staff members seem to genuinely set folks at ease and go out of their way to help. If your male staff could learn from them it would be nice! Yes, that is a gender bias. If you don't like it - bugger off!
- BBryan DeGrange
Bought some tires and rims took them home and found out they were the wrong size. Took them back but would only refund money for the rims. Make sure you know the return policy so you don’t loose money like I did.
- CCorby B.
Nice place to get used parts. Easy to see from street with plenty of good parking. Friendly staff to help you. Unfortunately for me they did not have the part I was looking for.
- AAric Johnson
I spoke with Wendy, and my experience was amazing! They are kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Best of all they are willing to find answers to questions they may not know, so your not left guessing about what expectations are. I will make sure to buy from them again. Thanks Wendy you're the very best!!!

AMAZING!!! I used to go to pic a part is Ogden which is near this place, and let me let you the price differences and the professionalism of this place is a complete 180 from the other place, the service is amazing, good security with checking bags, and THE PRICES, so incredible, the seats are 40 bucks for electric front seats in a Audi a6, at the other place they wanted near 100 BUCKS! I got so many things for my car and for a good price, only complaint is that the cars are not in order so you have to spend some time looking around for the cars, they could also use more wheel barrels because they were all in use so I had to carry all the stuff, luckily is was plastic items so nothing heavy, overall a 9/10! Highly recommend!

Had a bad experience here. Website doesn’t mention you can’t go back with sandals and I’m not sure why that is. I was wearing Tevas that are largely covered but do have some open spots. I couldn’t find anything on the website noting tany clothing requirementsi so people would be warned in advance and not find out after having driven an hour. . I figure if I get hurt while I’m taking stuff apart that’s my liability not theirs but maybe I’m wrong. If that’s the case I don’t understand why they don’t require everyone to wear eye protection as well. In any event, they suggested I go up the road to buy shoes while my som went to the lot to pull parts, which I did. I returned about 30 minutes later and they wouldn’t let me in despite my son bro g in the yard pulling parts because it was 3:32 and they stop allowing folks back at 3:30. I asked to speak to the manager and was told I’d have to call back the next day and leave a message and the manager might call me back but they are very busy. I left a vmail today with no call back. Very disappointing and poor customer service,
- SSound_Boi
They have a good selection of vehicles, but they suck at answering their phone. I have tried calling 3+ times now, and they haven't answered it once.

Worst place, and staff. If i coud give 0 stars I would. I came in today to buy some parts. And by accident left in my bag a coolant cap and some marker light that i did Replace on my SEMI truck. When I walked in, one of the staff member checked my bag thoroughly. Even took out that marker light. She saw it!! Didn’t tell me anything that there is a sign that you’re not allowed to bring parts in. Puts it back, I’m sure she saw everything in my bag. i paid 2$ to enter the yard, went and got my things, on the check out they look through my tool bag and guess what they found my coolant cap and the marker lights from my semi truck that I accidentally left them there when I did repairs. Even though they saw it when I came in!!!! And here is the worst part. Either I had to pay for my own things, or walk out not paying and be banned from this junkyard. Seriously guys!!! I don’t care if I get banned for standing up to them for not paying for my things, But the feeling that they look at you like you are a thief. I even proved by looking up pictures online for that coolant cap and marker lights that its For Kenworth Semi truck. (Obviously they don’t have semi parts there) I think they knew that they screwed up, and made a mistake, and still I had to pay for it? LoL. FOR MY OWN THINGS!! I will never ever come in there. And will tell my friends and advise you guys not to go there either. Parts are overpriced anyways. And got banned because I didn’t want to pay for my own things. 👎be aware and stay away

New new review: CALL AND CONFIRM THEY ARE OPEN BEFORE YOU DRIVE. Well I just seem to have bad luck with their hours… but no one is here today and nothing about this closure is posted online. I understand unexpected things happen, but whoever is in charge of posting hours needs to get on top of their job. New review: This place (Ogden and SLC) are great! Had a little issue with falsely advertised hours but since my old review they’ve changed it online. Thank you guys! Keep up the good work! Old review: The hours are posted on google at 5:30 closing time yet when I show up at 4:30 on a Friday they were “closed” and the guy inside just shrugged his shoulders. Should’ve fought it with their false advertising… but maybe I’ll call before I drive all the way from Centerville. Otherwise good place to get parts.
- WWyatt Stephens
I don’t like being nickel & dimed to death. These guys have no inventory system except to say that we have a matching car, parts unknown. “Oh, you want to go see if the parts you need are on said car? That’ll be $2”
- ZZachary Boardman
I called today and got transferred 7 times and talked to 8 people, and I'm not even exaggerating that number. I asked the same question each time (how do I scrap my vehicle through you?) Each person told me they would transfer me to their call center to get that set up. Then finally the last person that transferred me, just sent me to voice mail. Apparently no one at this company even knows how their own company works.
- MMagdiel Grado
They treat you like you want to steal their garbage, I wanted to return an engine that it doesn’t work but they asked about a broken hoses and garbage that was attached to the engine, idk how they want to install the engine without removing all the garbage a round of it, they refuse to do the return. They don’t show their refund policy anytime
- KKiera Briar
My experience was quick and easy. I called and talked to them for about five minutes to get the quote. We set up an appointment for them to come and get my car — that is when I signed the title over to them and was paid in cash. I would recommend them.
- AAlan Brown
Went there today for the first time. They charged a dollar to get in per person and they wouldn’t give us credit for the dollar when we checked out we bought one item which was very expensive. Walked out of the car and checked the price on rock auto and the price on rock auto for the same thing was $10 cheaper. My advice is stay away from these people they’re quite rude and they don’t give you any customer service
- RRichard Johnson
The only drawback was that you have to pay to enter, which is only $1 plus the cost of the part. But I was not told that on the phone when I called. I'm glad I had the $1 on me. I hate running a car for $1. But I was able to get the part I needed and install for under $25 and my time but saved just the same.
- KKEVIN WHITE
I give them a 5 for inventory, but a 2 for how they charge to much and for parts that shouldn’t be charged for. They charged me for a pipe that was clearly trash but because I couldn’t pull the sensor out of the pipe I had to pay for it. They also measure every single inch of pieces and charge for every inch which seems extreme. They try to get every single cent from you. They do have great inventory however so take the good with the bad? Don’t forget your normal shoes. Show up in sandals and you’ll be kicked out. I’m here now and there is one employee and 9 customers waiting. What kind of clown show is this?
- DDonna Glenn
NEVER go to this place. Unethical staff. We took our own visor in to match a part and no one told us we couldn't take parts in and no one pointed out the sign. They wanted us buy our own part back, even though they have cameras to see we brought it in. We called Police and they called Police. At the end of the discussion, we walked away with OUR part and no payment.
- MMiriam Birth
No Hassle, I needed to finally let go of dad's car. I used it to commute from SLC to Ogden. Thank you Tear A part for the no hassle process.
