A couple weeks ago we rented the Freedom Chair for my mom. It was awesome! We pushed her all around Estes Park shops and the Elk Festival. It did great on all terrain including the grass, dirt, and hills!<br><br>The next day we went to Rocky and pushed her on the Alluvial Fan trail, saw the waterfall. We drove up Trail Ridge Road getting out to see the overlooks on the way, hiked around Bear Lake (has some areas on the trail not wheel chair accessible) and Sprauge lake.<br><br>Our last day in Estes Park we walked around Estes Lake and all the way into town past the visitor center and along the river walk to eat at Egg of Estes.<br><br>None of this would’ve been possible without the Freedom Chair. Thank you SO much for offering these chairs to people!!<br><br>Everyone at the shop I talked to was very nice and helpful. They even have a paper of all the accesible hikes in Rocky and some details about each.<br><br>We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee rental car and it fit perfectly in the back with half of the middle seat put down. It was super easy once we got the hang of it to take the wheels and handles off!

I visited this shop about a year ago, and there’s one thing I’ve never had the time to write about — until now. Finally. I really like this cozy little store. They had a lot of great stuff, and the staff upstairs were helpful.<br><br>However, ‼‼if you are Asian or from another non-white background and plan to rent micro spike here, please be aware: there was a white male staff member downstairs, probably middle aged who made me uncomfortable.<br><br>He asked me, “Where are you coming from?” (Not “originally coming from” but it still gives me a judging feeling at that time). And when I turned around to go upstairs and checkout, I clearly heard him saying“Jesus”even in front of another customer. I was having serve period pain and didn’t have the energy to argue, but that doesn’t make it okay!<br><br>To be transparent and fair: the rental process was normal. The issue might start when I noticed the size he gave me didn’t match the size information on the bucket, so I asked him about it, nicely, and tried them on. After that, he became impatient and annoyed. I am surprised to find later that other reviewers have mentioned similar behavior of him and even specifically pointed out his race (!).<br><br>I don’t know if this person is still working here, but if he is, manager: take this seriously, it matters.

When we went to CO,I was looking for a nice outdoor jacket and those type of stores are everywhere. I spent days looking for what I wanted and after spending the day in Estes Park,we stopped in here. It was great timing because they were having a big clearance sale so they had the top floor full of gear and the bottom floor was packed with all kinds of clothing,coats,jackets,etc. I did find a nice jacket that was half off,The North Face (I still love this jacket). I would recommend this store if you are looking for any type of gear for hiking,camping,fishing,etc. Its amazing and the employees were great.
