This place is absolutely incredible! Michael was a pleasure to work with. He's extremely knowledgeable about everything he has and just a very nice guy to talk with. My wife and I spent 3 hours here last week getting various pieces for our remodel. We live 6 hours away in Wyoming, but we were in town for a concert, so we looked up a few architectural salvage places we wanted to stop at as well. This was the only place we ended up going to because he has absolutely everything we needed and so much more. We were both amazed at how organized everything is as well. It was overwhelming but in a good way! Most of the small items that are usually buried in boxes were either neatly displayed on peg board or laid out nicely in drawers. We have already talked about making a trip back down just to visit this place again. The pricing was also extremely reasonable. You can tell that he is in the business to save these items and not just sell "antiques". A few but not all of the items we left with.

This is one of the most amazing places I have ever been! I had the pleasure of taking a tour with Drew and he let us hang out and explore the different buildings for over 3 hours. He showed us all of the rooms and was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the amazing items that have been salvaged from buildings both in America and other countries.

As a lover of old houses and the irreplaceable craftsmanship of older items in general, this was all incredible to see. The amount of gorgeous items this place has saved over the years is mind blowing! They have everything you could need if you’re wanting to add some character to your house, or are restoring an old house. I loved the windows (some of the most beautiful stained glass I have ever seen), the wood doors, the hardware and cabinet pulls, and the other one of a kind items that have been lovingly rescued. I even purchased an early 1800s pump organ from them! We got to meet Michael (the owner) who was so kind, interesting, and clearly passionate about what he does here.

It’s also really neat how everything is split up into different buildings. I loved getting to tour the inside of 2 of their early 1800s Victorian homes that store many of their items. My partner and I can’t stop talking about how this is our new favorite place.

Unassimilated (and the amazing people who made it come to life) are truly doing such important work and giving salvaged pieces a new life. Thank you! Ps. Bring cash or ATMS nearby, and text Drew for info (phone number on their website.)

Absolute gem of a place if you’re looking for anything old and beautiful. I went for some old wood windows and not only did they deliver with an incredible selection of them but I was captivated by the vast selection of doors, mantles, knobs, hasps and hinges. If you have a project that you need a little touch of years gone by then this is the place! Michael and his staff are so kind and attentive! Bring cash, it’s all they take (atms nearby and walkable).
