Recycling is just easy, and in theory this recycling system should be easy as well. Separate your paper, aluminum cans, and plastics 1 & 2. That is all this location takes, although I know another Roanoke location does take glass which is highly recyclable as well. Do not bag your recycling in a trash bag or any plastic bags. Plastic bags and recycling do not mix, any flimsy type of plastic will get caught in machinery and is NOT easily recyclable. I put my recycling in an empty trash bin and drive it here to dump when needed. Again it should be easy, but every time I have come here all bins are PACKED full. I rated this place 4 stars as I love the idea and really wish Roanoke had a more robust recycling system, but there needs to be more emptying of these bins because they become so packed that people start just throwing it on the ground. Please do not throw it outside of the bins, any cardboard or paper products that get wet become harder to recycle or become basically trash. Just be patient or try to stuff it in the corners slowly.

Why wasn't my recycling picked up this week? When everyone else has picked up.i think my bill should reflect this since the service I'm paying for didn't happen.
