Jays is a nice clean place. Staff is very courteous. Replaced my batteries quickly. My only negative was that I had to have vehicle towed in. They charge 200.00 to diagnose the problem. Told them that truck wouldn't start. Batteries themselves cost what they should have. More than 200.00 to install them. That was pretty high.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was hoping to find a good local mechanic I could trust. This was my first time at Jay's and I was extremely disappointed. Right off the bat it was bad. I was there for an oil change and I asked if they could rotate the tires. They quoted me $100 DOLLARS for an TIRE ROTATION. Even the dealer only charges $30. And most places do it free with the oil change. Secondly, after they did the inspection they sent me the quote for recommended work. It was abundantly obvious that they checked Every. Single. Box. that they could to try to get me to do more work. You know how I know? Because one of the many things they recommended I do was a power steering fluid flush. My car has electric power steering. THERE IS NO POWER STEERING FLUID!! But if I would have told them to do it, they would have happily let me pay for it. Lastly, they quoted me nearly $1400 dollars for brake pads and Rotors. Given the first two issues I figured that was overpriced. Sure enough, I called 8 different shops, including the DEALER, and the highest quote I got was $1200. They also didnt reset the oil change reminder in the car, so I had to return and deal with them again to get them to do that. Unfortunately, this is just another shop trying to charge as much as possible to people who dont know any better. And obviously it is working since they have a huge, shiny brand new building. What a shame.
